No updates. Just more "we're searching for him," shit.
With the moral police and angry ranting I'm no longer sure that is possible ewitwins. CNN aren't reporting anything new and I assume that they would if anything had kicked off.
actually i have sorta an unofficial update that might be completely unrelated but whatever (and ewit maybe you can confirm this) last night i noticed there were a ridiculous amount of police out and about in phoenix and on the highway, i'm wondering if arizona police are out in greater numbers in case Dorner flees to arizona like some have speculated? i was passed by convoys of like 2-3 police cruisers multiple times while out last night, never happened before
Pretty much all state patrol are on high alert due to all the speculations, especially highway state patrol. I don't know if it necessarily means he's there, though.
There has been a shit ton of false sightings from Cali to Mexico and everywhere in between.
I wonder when he will strike again. [editline]9th February 2013[/editline] So apparently the cops think stopping in big bear wasn't his plan because the axle on his truck broke. He could in fact be dead in the snow.
the axle on his truck broke
Plan everything perfectly. Get fucked over by missing an optional car inspection three months ago.
Snow in Big Bear is usually pretty tame, unless this year is particularly bad or something. You might seriously have a hard time dying of cold up there.
There is no way a man trained in survival died from being out in the snow.
Despite popular belief being trained does not necessarily make you invincible
This guy is probably already in another state waiting for the heat to die down by now. [editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
Despite popular belief being trained does not necessarily make you invincible
It does make someone a bit smarter than the average bear.
Despite popular belief being trained does not necessarily make you invincible
It does let them know how to survive in different climates though. I doubt they will find him if hes hiding in the forest.
Honestly, people have survived in -30 in the snow for days. I think a trained professional can live in LAs mountains for a while, especially if he planned to.
you guys are acting as if he's some sort of Navy SEAL commando who had SERE training he's a navy reservist without a combat medal who just happens to be an excellent shooter
Hes still trained to do these things though
Hes still trained to do these things though
really, can u educate me what is he trained to do in cold climate as a navyman
what position did he have in the navy anyway
my uncle was in the national guard in the 1980s he is a well trained space marine
really, can u educate me what is he trained to do in cold climate as a navyman
They said he was trained as a survivalist. That means trained to survive.
They said he was trained as a survivalist. That means trained to survive.
according to dorner, but i wasn't aware they gave outdoor survivalist training to navy reservists i dont know anything about military, please educate me, what did he learn in the navy
You dont have to be in the military to train for survival :V
If he's still in big bear, he mostly likely spent a lot of time making accommodations for himself over there before this happened.
You dont have to be in the military to train for survival :V
okay, so does that mean he's not chocolate rambo??
Lack of any news and any worthy discussion other than bitching I have a feeling there'll be headlines soon about Kopimi and many others killing each other. This thread is getting more intense than the original content.
okay, so does that mean he's not chocolate rambo??
He is most indeed chocolate rambo, he's out in the wilderness and rumored to have a 50 cal sniper, missile launcher, and proximity mines.
according to him, but i wasn't aware they gave outdoor survivalist training to navy reservists i dont know anything about military, please educate me, what did he learn in the navy
I know that he was in the reserve, but can you point out to me the part where it says he was only in the reserve? I'm trying to find it. are you sure he was never active duty, and had a chance to get SERE in?
what position did he have in the navy anyway
"I lost my position as a Commanding Officer of a Naval Security Forces reserve unit at NAS Fallon because of the LAPD"
hmm according to Wikipedia it seems he provided security:
Dorner is a former Naval Reserve lieutenant (O-3) who was honorably discharged. Dorner commanded a security unit at Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada, served with a Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit from 23 June 2004 to 28 February 2006, and deployed to Bahrain with Coastal Riverine Group Two from 3 November 2006 to 23 April 2007. [4] He was discharged from the Navy Reserve on 1 February 2013.

A Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit (MIUWU) is a component of the United States Navy's Force Protection Package tasked with providing seaward security to joint logistics over-the-shore operations from either a port or harbor complex or unimproved beach sites. The mobile inshore undersea warfare unit is equipped with mobile radar, sonar, and communications equipment located within mobile elements, such as a tent, specially modified HMMWV, or truck-mountable container.
I don't know much about the military or even the Navy but it seems like a position like that would entail some degree of combat skill and technical proficiency in electronic surveillance/detection I still think his ability to evade capture or not die in the wilderness is small though. [editline].[/editline] oop I'm late
The police also seem edger to cover it up, going far enough as to shoot a truck of elderly Asian women, who's car is barely similar to his, even without pulling it over. Also big bear isn't a wilderness, I used to go up there with my dad each winter. It's full of houses and people, although there are strips of land that are uninhabited for use of hiking or skiing.
waiting patiently for the cop who kicked the guy to make a statement never will, though
