I halfway think that we won't make it to meet another sapient life form. I'm reminded of a book/short story about how humanity got wiped out and the robots we created made tons of themselves and ventured into the galaxy destroying every sapient alien race they came across for "destroying humanity". Pretty sure it was by Asimov but I can't remember the title to save my life.

That's what I liked about the World War, Colonization, and Homeward Bound books. The alien race that tried to conquer us and belittle us dealt with the same idiot problems we had. :v:
