Credit cards? You're using them to access your money.
No, a credit card's basically an I.O.U. A debit cad would be a better analogy, as you use it to direly access your savings.

Forints are cool (ignore the 200Ft banknote, it has been replaced by a coin)
I suppose if the see-through part was the shape of a triangle then these focus groups would be complaining it looks like a penis? [editline]27th October 2011[/editline] ITT: Show off your nation's currency.
US currency are different colors. They're not very saturated though - more like pastel hues. It's very subtle. Saturated colors on money look juvenile anyway. Maybe it's a culture thing.
You mean people thought our money didn't already look like Monopoly money? Because as a Canadian I've been making fun of them by saying that for years(love our colorful money btw), heck I thought Americans loved to make fun of our money by calling them Monopoly money.
Here in Michigan near the borders we call it 'Funny Money' lol
If the American economy keeps heading in the direction it's going, pretty soon we'll be calling American money "worthless". :v:
Lol I have to agree, good thing I live on the border and my family is Canadian with citizenships :v: Got my passport on my drivers permit, enhanced drivers permit lets me get over the bridges and borders so fucking fast, dunno what states have that other then Michigan
Enhanced: Issued to US Citizens in Washington, Vermont, Michigan, and New York, also proves nationality in addition to driving privileges. An EDL is a WHTI compliant document, acceptable for re-entering the United States via land and sea crossings from Canada or Mexico or the Caribbean. A U.S. Passport, birth certificate, or another document proving citizenship is required to apply for this type of license. Motorcycle and commercial driver's licenses (see below) usually can also be issued as enhanced.

Did you know that paper money served as essentially an I.O.U. for precious metals?
For the U.S at least, isn't this not true after FDR took us off the Gold Standard, thus not tying them to that liability?
For the U.S at least, isn't this not true after FDR took us off the Gold Standard, thus not tying them to that liability?
Yeah, this is the case now (everywhere?) with fiat money. I meant historically, when paper notes were literally promissory notes and you had to produce the precious metals within a reasonable time period if requested.
