Yes, you're dumb for not updating the instant remote code execution exploits are fixed..

And is also the reason you will be vulnerable to all of the exploits that are patched since they are not going to be bugs you notice.
Which is fine because I have a hardware firewall active, I have MSE running, I have Ad Block Plus turned up to zero tolerance mode, and I don't visit shady sites/download suspect files. I don't need those security 'fixes'. I haven't gotten a piece of malware since...ooohh...what was it...2004 I think? 2003 maybe? It's been so long I can't even remember what it was, but I do remember that AVG was hot shit back then. I must be doing something right if I haven't gotten any malware in a decade.

Shit I have this installed. I just uninstalled ie10 and the platform update for 7 because it makes yellow roads on bf3 for some reason. I don't play bf3 but less bugs are better than more right? Fuck you microsoft verify your shit first, nvidia has the same fuckin problem atm with their 320 driver series.
is this why all the youtube videos on my win8 machine have been extremely choppy after the update?
no [editline]14th July 2013[/editline]
Shit I have this installed. They dont verify that it does not break anything else. That would take too much time.
System restore might be able to kick back the update if you don't know how to uninstall updates. [editline]14th July 2013[/editline]
Shit I have this installed. Most infections don't come from dodgy sites, they come from legit sites which are infected, and updates take like 10 seconds to install and they keep you safe.
This kinda reminds me of the windows update that fucked up battlefield 3 and made snowy trees in the expansion maps piss yellow until you uninstalled, though this one is slightly worse.
I haven't been able to use Source Film Maker and After Effects and Premeire pro since the upadte, maybe something to do wht the qt system
So explain why my regular MSE scans haven't turned up anything more severe than a tracking cookie since the days when AIM was still relevant.
never said you were infected, just saying you may get infected and MSE won't help you much if it can't detect it
This reminds me, I don't think I have updated me computer in a few month..
Hadn't had any problems with Media Player Classic.
Does it only affect videos in the WMV format or does it also affect my XviDs and my MPEGs and whatever else?
So explain why my regular MSE scans haven't turned up anything more severe than a tracking cookie since the days when AIM was still relevant.
This is still no reason to not update Windows at all. There are performance and stability improvements in there, along with security fixes and patches. At the very least you should be updating to service packs and updating at least once a month for security fixes, the less work your AV has to do the better.
