Shorten has pretty much started agreeing too much with the Liberal's plans and Labor right is wanting to take on board a lot of these policies
So to me it really seems next election you're voting for Liberal 1 or Liberal 2
An opposition's job is to oppose shit that goes against the parties way, practically a lot of this shit goes against the morals of Labor. He's doing a terrible job at this opposing business.
Voting Greens and the Sex Party (for the senate) next election, I hope more people take this edge

You know, just because his party is the official opposition doesn't mean that they have to oppose the government on absolutely everything. That isn't their role as the opposition, they are the opposition as they are the largest party in parliament that isn't a part of government. If they did oppose the government on absolutely everything, that would be playing politics for the sake of it.
You should know that Shorten has been ridiculously vocal against many propositions made by the government. National security is one of the very few areas where Labor agrees with the coalition, as in fact a majority of Australians also do given that thread you posted where 75% of voters supported stripping terrorists of citizenship. Also, how is 'a lot of this shit' going against the 'morals of Labor' when Labor right is supporting them? How can a party go against its own 'morals' when it determines and evolves its own morals? Unless you're implying the Socialist left are somehow the only legitimate faction of Labor.
I support the Socialist left, I despise Labor right. Labor was built on the principles of social democracy not fucking moderate liberalism. If they want a party that advocates that, they should make one themselves otherwise let the socialist have one party and the moderates have another.
I know Shorten has been ridiclious vocal but I do not want to vote for a party that supported this type of legislation and then afterwards come out of the woodwork and go "same sex marriage guys :))?" or "Faster NBN". Sure as reevezy67 has pointed out, it's not all doom and gloom but the public doesn't know that and assumes that this bill is putting duct tape over someone's mouth
Labor morals, I was more reflecting on Labor 1970-1990, that period. I've heard someone in the past use Labor morals to describe that era. Look at the end of the day, Shorten doesn't make me happy, Abbott wants to make me leave this Country and honestly I want a new party.
And if that means breaking my ode to never vote Greens well so be it.
I hate all these people bringing up terrorism as an argument in politics, it's such a non issue. All it is, is fear mongering.
About double the amount of people that died due to terrorism in the last 10 years(this is outside of Australia as well) died from falling off of ladders. Something like 100 terrorism deaths and 200 ladder-fall related deaths.
It's fucking ridiculous.
Edit: I know this is slightly unrelated but it bothers me. Sorry.
