Good thing I only ever drink clear sodas :c00lbert:
I dislike the group of people that overstate the effects and act as though they are saving people.
They just fucking figured this out now? [editline]17th February 2011[/editline]
Good thing I only ever drink clear sodas :c00lbert:
This just in: clear causes cancer.

Everything cause cancer these days. HELL! even death can cause cancer.
I stopped drinking pop about two years ago in favor of water (which I drank a lot anyways), sans the occasional one when it's free or all thats around. Lost 60lbs, it's the easiest shit ever. Cutting soda out of your diet is one of the best things to do to help your health. Soda is terrible for you - a single 12oz can has 41g of HFCS sugars, which is an ultra concentrated sugar that your body breaks down much easier compaired to normal sugars. To compare, your average chocolate chip cookie or doughnut has about 15-20g of normal sugar in it. And you know how soda is - you can't just have one can. Many people drink it like water, 3-5 cans a day. That's up to 200g of HFCS sugar a day, for something that isn't a dessert but a casual drink. You might as well eat a whole cake every day. "Natural" soda isn't much better in sugar concentration but it atleast doesn't use HFCS so your body can't break it down as easily (and therefore doesn't get converted into fat as easily). Plus it's more expensive, which encourages you to drink it lightly and enjoy it as a "delicacy" versus having it all the time. Has the added benefit of being delicious too
What the hell. Whats next? Does breathing cause cancer? Where the hell does it end? D:
We should stop eating and drinking everything, just to be safe.
I had a physical about four months ago and there were no significant health problems with me, I'm as confused as you are.
Yeah but good luck getting chicks if you're that skinny.
could cause cancer
Plastic could cause cancer, ban it. The sun DOES cause cancer. BAN IT NOW. Gasoline Fumes can cause cancer, ban it. Rubber fumes can cause cancer, ban that too. Coal causes cancer, ban it. Oil causes cancer, ban it. Fuck it guys, lets ban everything because it has a chance at causing cancer.

Don't like it? Don't drink it. Those dumb fuckers just have to ruin it for everyone else whether they agree with them or not. I want my cancer juice and I want it now!
Well fuck, if we're going by this logic, birth control should be discontinued and illegal.
Why should we ban it? Why can't we sell two versions? The clear ones and the ones that use 'caramel.'
Everything causes cancer when taken in excess.
Everything causes cancer when taken in excess.
Half of facepunch has arm and dick cancer from jacking off too much.
Read Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle" and you'll see why we need regulation in the food industry. It shows very well what happens when corporations are left to their own accord.
I fucking love Upton Sinclair.
God damn, what doesn't cause cancer these days?
Cup of tea with no sugar.
I fucking love Upton Sinclair.
I may not agree with his politics to as great of an extent as you likely do, but he's easily on my list of top 3 favorite authors. The unabridged versions of Oil! and The Jungle should be a required reading in all high schools.
