ITT who really needs to give a fuck, he's going to die in 3 months. In technical terms, his life sentence ended when he got terminal cancer, because he's dead no matter what. besides, dying from cancer is far from dying content. It's not like it's a nice, pleasant death.
So kill him now.

It doesn't make sense. You're rewarding him with freedom.
I agree that Scotland probably shouldn't have released al-Megrahi (I'm english, not american). But tbh, the way america are reacting, by boycotting scotland. It's freaking childish. A joke I saw on mock the week sums it up really. "America boycotting scotland is like wayne rooney boycotting the large hadron collider" :smug:

-snip-
Scottish issue, not British and certainly not American. They have no say in the matter.
One small website = America Good to see you guys research the topics at hand.
Holds about the same amount of intelectual sway as Rooney though don't it? And just because there is only one site it doesn't mean to that only a handful of people what to boycott Britain, no it shows that only one nut had enough time spare to make it.
I think the reason they let him go is because they're not entirely sure it was him.
I think the reason they let him go is because they're not entirely sure it was him.
That and some of that oil and gas that Libya have wouldn't go a miss.
Because when one country's citizen kills another country's citizens and the former government doesn't let the latter government give the latter former citizen a trial, the latter government is going to get angry. In other words: Scot kills Yanks Scot government needs to let Yank government trial the killer, or Yank government gets pissed because Yanks were killed by the Scot
One, the bomber wasn't Scottish. He was Libyan. Are you really that ignorant? And two, Americans weren't the only victims in the bombing. 52 British, along with people from many other countries died. But in the end. As a legal matter, it has nothing to do with the US.
1. This happened in Scotland and as such is a Scottish legal matter 2. The 'bomber' was a fall guy, his involvement is sketchy to say the least 3. The Scottish legal system (one of the most respected in the world and used by other countries as a basis for their own) cannot be leaned on by American politicians trying to score points in the tabloids. 4. Libya were never going to let anyone be tried in the US for this, Scotland did the US a favour by putting him in jail for ANY amount of time. Edit:
If a bunch of Scottish citizens were blown up while visiting America, wouldn't Scotland want to have a say in how justice is administered?
Scots have been murdered in the states in the past. I don't recall any case where the Scots government requested a say in how justice was administered.
Your right he just contributed directly to the demise of over 200 innocent people.
may I remind you that he is suspected of doing it , there is no hard evidence he did it. for all we know , there could be someone in libya laughing their ass off at this poor guy who got the blame.
Scottish issue, not British and certainly not American. They have no say in the matter.
Uhh I think Britain does have a say because Scotland is part of Britain.
Uhh I think Britain does have a say because Scotland is part of Britain.
For the 600402945295129582th time. Britian is the name of the island we are on.
Uhh I think Britain does have a say because Scotland is part of Britain.
...you better be trolling
Uhh I think Britain does have a say because Scotland is part of Britain.
Scotland has an independant justice system.
Because life in prison means life in prison, not most of your life except for the last few months because we feel bad. You kill two hundred people, you lose your right to die content.
It's disputed if he even carried out the bombing.
The guy has three months to live, why is this a problem?
Why show a man compassion in his dying days with 3 months to do what he wants, when he gave 270 people absolutely no compassion or time in which to spend their final moments.
It's disputed if he even carried out the bombing.
Not by the court it wasn't.
