Why didn't they just shoot the gun out of his hand?
Trying to hit a moving target with less surface area than an arm/leg/head/foot/whatever is a terrible idea if you are in a deadly situation. If you miss, chances are the target is going to shoot you and not miss.
I have a feeling the kid knew he was gonna get shot when he pointed the gun, and that's why he did it :v:
Oh god the comments :v:
Another example of a fatherless bastard from the hood. These little bastards get spit out left and right without a second thought. Then the taxpayers are left to pay for them. The "mothers" (I use that term loosely) see them as a paycheck. Of course, when the little bastards are killed they hit all the major news outlets and work up some tears. I'm sure Sharpton will be planning some marches and riots over the next few days and Scohan and Jerzey will be on here talking about what a great kid he was. On another note, what the heck is it with these invented dumbass names from the Hood? Shaaliver, Trayvon, Deeondre, LaQueesha, Moeesha, Shomeeka, I could go on and on... Not only did the NYPD save some tax dollars but they prevented the spawn of at least another 1,000 bastards over the next 100 years. In fact, every time I see a candle light vigil, I see tax dollars saved. I'm teaching another sensitivity class if anyone needs any CEUs
Having this kid off the streets is one thing, but him being dead is another. Being dead is far worse a fate than being locked up, especially being that he was only 14.
Does it fuck with anyone's head to think about the fact this kid was likely born in 1999? News stories involving people around these ages always remind me of how "old" I am.
Having this kid off the streets is one thing, but him being dead is another. Being dead is far worse a fate than being locked up, especially being that he was only 14.
Sure, I don't like the idea of anyone losing their life prematurely but it seems this kid was going to continue to put himself in situations that would result in lethal retaliation. He already shot another kid; so forgive me if you disagree with my opinion but I'd rather him be dead now than sitting on death row for murdering an innocent civilian he attempted to rob.
Not sure if anyone else actually read the whole article, but the police responded to some gunfire heard in the neighborhood and they found this kid attempting to shoot a fleeing man. It makes this shooting even more justified. Who knows what would have happened if the police arrived just a minute or two late.

maybe people call black people the victim here so they dont seem racist.........
Why the fuck would a 14 year old be allowed to own a gun ?
Why the fuck would a 14 year old be allowed to own a gun ?
I'm pretty sure participating in thug/gangsta activity doesn't involve purchasing and registering your firearms.
Why the fuck would a 14 year old be allowed to own a gun ?
you'd be surprised how easy it is to get ahold of a gun
Wouldn't it be made more sense for the cop to shot his arms/legs to disable the kid? I know its probabaly the heat of the moment and panic/tension stuff causing the cop to just aim at the boy and shoot, but if the cop purposely aimed for the jaw/head thats wrong man.
This is silly. Then again, this and the people who ask "Why do they say allah akbar so much???" Have to pop up at least once in their respective threads, I suppose :v:

No exceptions. If an officer has to use a gun, he's ready to kill, and aiming for an extremity is misuse of the weapon, because it may kill the person anyway, but they'll suffer unnecessarily first. Furthermore, when someone's pointing a gun at you, hitting them in the leg won't stop them from firing.
MUH LIL BABY BOI DIN DU NUFIN
Don't really understand the winners. Yeah the shooting was justified but this is still a tragedy.
MUH LIL BABY BOI DIN DU NUFIN
Ohh dear...
No sympathy. He was warned in the first place and a 14 year old shouldn't even have a gun on the streets anyway
Don't really understand the winners. Yeah the shooting was justified but this is still a tragedy.
the biggest criminals in this are the people involved in this kid's upbringing
the biggest criminals in this are the people involved in this kid's upbringing
They are a product of their environment.
MUH LIL BABY BOI DIN DU NUFIN
Wow that was a quick snip If you're going to be racist at least have the balls to see it through to the end Only thing worse than a racist is a cowardly racist
Wow that was a quick snip If you're going to be racist at least have the balls to see it through to the end
WHATCHO TALKIN BOUT HONKEY
the biggest criminals in this are the people involved in this kid's upbringing
Nah I'm pretty sure it was the kid. I don't think the parents specifically raised him towards this outcome.
They are a product of their environment.
They're also possibly a product of shithead gangsters who use children to run drugs and pull the trigger because they won't be tried as adults. Like everything, environment clearly plays a role, but to act like his neighborhood is the sole reason he attempted to kill is ridiculous.
Nah I'm pretty sure it was the kid.
If someone is pointing guns at cops at 14 then something went seriously wrong during those 14 years
Wow that was a quick snip If you're going to be racist at least have the balls to see it through to the end Only thing worse than a racist is a cowardly racist
There's really nothing implying race in his comment; if anything that's the general reaction most people have when they discover a relative/child/sibling has committed a crime. It's sort of like with the Trayvon Martin case his mother instantly jumped to defend her son even though it was pretty obvious that her unstable household coupled with his "activities" put him on a path of bad decisions that lead to even worse consequences. Plus, it's not uncommon for people in these low-income areas to have very poor vocabulary, and this includes all races not just blacks. Though it's not necessarily a good idea to blame these groups of people but more or less our terrible education system and how we handle the impoverished. We'd rather stick them in their own corner and build a wall around them; in this case a constant police presence, rather than actually tackle the issue such as a lack of education and jobs.
