North Korea thanks you for defending the rights of nations to infringe the rights of other nations. Are you fucking serious
Oh I am very serious. I wish Iran great success with their missile programme.
I hope I'm also crushing the hopes and dreams of aspiring nuclear bomb theorists around the world
Who said nuclear missiles? Iran does not have nukes.
I don't get it what is the purpose of a ballistic missile without a nuclear payload
I don't get it what is the purpose of a ballistic missile without a nuclear payload
Conventional payload perhaps? Like all their other missiles? Have you ever heard of tactical ballistic missiles such as Iskander or MGM-140?
You're trying to deny aspiring missile designers their dreams, you are denying their hopes and dreams.
haha oh my god are you fucking kidding me please tell me this is a joke what if I want to be a biological weapons designer? you cant tell virologists that they cant weaponize ebola, you're dashing their hopes and dreams! :((
Why wouldn't I want that? Every country has a right to build missiles, unless you believe in world police.
Umm this isn't how it works dude Are you suggesting we shouldn't have been concerned about oh say North Korea's missile program a few months back??
Umm this isn't how it works dude Are you suggesting we shouldn't have been concerned about oh say North Korea's missile program a few months back??
I was not concerned because they're North Korea.
I was not concerned because they're North Korea.
Yeah it's not like North Korea wages war on their neighbors or arbitrarily interrupts the peace and shells islands with artillery, nor does it sink ships in international waters unprovoked, nor does it murder border guards who are attempting to perform their duties I wouldn't be worried at all if North Korea had ballistic missiles! They're the last person to misuse them!
I wouldn't be worried at all if North Korea had ballistic missiles! They're the last person to misuse them!
Same with Iran, being the perfectly reasonable oppressive-theocratic-dictatorship that they are!
but muh MAD~!
I wish all countries great success with their ballistic missile programmes!
are you serious or are you just trolling at this point? because you've said this like 5 times with no justification for it
Same with Iran, being the perfectly reasonable oppressive-theocratic-dictatorship that they are!
Oh now you do tell me when the last time Iran started a war?
Oh now you do tell me when the last time Iran started a war?
You agreed with North Korea having ballistic missiles too and they have a nuclear program for sure AND a history of attacking their neighbors So why don't YOU tell US why this is such a great idea
You agreed with North Korea having ballistic missiles too and they have a nuclear program for sure AND a history of attacking their neighbors So why don't YOU tell US why this is such a great idea
Because I believe missiles are a universal right. Now you tell me why Iran can't have ballistic missiles, considering they have not started a war for at least a hundred years, if you even know enough about Iran to give me the date of the last time they started a war.
Because I believe missiles are a universal right.
Why??
Why??
Because countries should be able to use their scientific might to develop capabilities to defend themselves?
Because countries should be able to use their scientific might to develop capabilities to defend themselves?
Nukes are a universal right too I'm betting
Because countries should be able to use their scientific might to develop capabilities to defend themselves?
Ballistic missiles are not defensive, they are strike weapons.
All telling them they can't have missiles does makes them more belligerent and anti-Western. If we actually let Iran have a nuclear program they most likely wouldn't use them.
Ballistic missiles are not defensive, they are strike weapons.
And you are saying you can't defend yourself with a strike weapon?
All telling them they can't have missiles does makes them more belligerent and anti-Western. If we actually let Iran have a nuclear program they most likely wouldn't use them.
Right because it's just the West telling them they can't have nukes. Again, China and Russia voted for this course.
Ballistic missiles are not defensive, they are strike weapons.
You're missing the point, ballistic missiles can still be used defensively.
All telling them they can't have missiles does makes them more belligerent and anti-Western. If we actually let Iran have a nuclear program they most likely wouldn't use them.
Yeah, no country has used nuclear weapons for attack/war purposes since world war 2 and we used them because that was the best option at the time. I have doubts that Iran would use nuclear bombs for attacks anytime soon
Right because it's just the West telling them they can't have nukes. Again, China and Russia voted for this course.
Yes, in 2006. Their position has changed long ago.
And you are saying you can't defend yourself with a strike weapon?
Sure, you can, but that's not the intended purpose. You can defend yourself with a bomber but rarely would anyone consider it a defensive weapon. I will say though, a nuclear weapon can be a defensive weapon because of MAD.
All telling them they can't have missiles does makes them more belligerent and anti-Western. If we actually let Iran have a nuclear program they most likely wouldn't use them.
Either we hurt their feelings or we face potential conflict on a massive scale The choice is quite easy.
Yes, in 2006. Their position has changed long ago.
And in 2010 They also supported the experts panel (in 2011) which they're now deciding not to agree with, for whatever reasons which I haven't looked into to at the moment Twice. (This in 2012)
Why wouldn't I want that? Every country has a right to build missiles, unless you believe in world police.
Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean you fucking should. Iran is terrible, Israel is terrible as well. Everything is terrible.
And in 2010 They also supported the experts panel (in 2011) which they're now deciding not to agree with, for whatever reasons which I haven't looked into to at the moment Twice. They also underlined the importance of frequent consultation between the Panel and the Council on the Panel’s work.
They seem reluctant at best. I think it's pretty clear that China and Russia are not against the Iranian nuclear program which is why their last votes in favor of sanctions were 3 years ago.
