which brings me back to what I said before. Just a bunch of edgy over dramatics.
Surely you can get your point across without showing dislike by hoping for death instead.
It's childish.
And advocating for the sentiment is childish as well.
Perhaps they did that as well except it wasn't the title of article because it wouldn't get as many clicks?
Over a Clinton or Trump presidency, 39 percent of those surveyed said they preferred Obama serve a life term; 26 percent prefer a random lottery to choose the next president and 23 percent (nearly 1 in 4) prefer a giant meteor strike.
Well, it is SH after all.
No doubt these same people will be at the voting stations picking one or the other.
Giant Meteor isn't racist and doesn't care what religion you are, he is all for an equal opportunity Armageddon.
Giant Meteor has some pretty good policies all-around:
-A plan to stop all wars within a year
-Has a surefire way to reduce global temperatures to combat current climate change
-Will prevent Britain from leaving the EU
-Purge terrorism
-Reduce demand for coal and oil
-Prevent rainforests from being cutdown for lumber and grazing
-Shall limit the effects of ocean pollution
-Will cutdown emissions by 2017, an incredible feat in modern society
-Has good foreign policy, treating all countries near-equally (aside from the one it decides to visit first)
-Holds an important value toward our space program
To be honest, if we had Giant Meteor, there'd be quite an impact on the world.
literally who else but youth would choose the meteor option on a poll that includes it
not all old people become grouches though
That must have been a really strange sample -- that can't be accurate with most youth. Surely the destruction of the entire planet is much worse than some idiots running a single country in the world.
I think you underestimate the soft nihilism of most millennials.

What? We are one of the most adaptable species to ever walk on this planet. Give us a few more centuries and we will live in tons of places that were completely lifeless until we came along.

I'm worried about the species making it another century, let alone a few more.

You underestimate the human race. We will be around for a long time. The question is more, in what way.

As a millennial, I'd say "yeah sure" as a joke and I'm sure many of my millennial brethren would've done the same.
Poll's probably skewed by picking a bunch of teens as its sample.

whys that
whys that
Our planet is pretty messed up, and will probably start doing some real wacky shit to try and kill us soon.
Meteor might look like an equality candidate, but his jump to violence is just toxic masculinity and shows that he supports the patriarchy.

Unless we literally nuke everything we'll probably be fine. And even then. It seems to me like a lot of death will happen, and we'll be set back a looooot. But in the long run, we'd probably recover.

On the other hand, our current path will see us the largest crisis in human history. You think the refugee crisis is bad? Tens of millions of people? Try hundreds of millions, if not over a billion people displaced because the equator is becoming too hot to sustain human life, and major coastal cities around the world are being swallowed by the sea. Countries in the soon-to-be uninhabitable zone will be extremely motivated move North or South. I expect a full-scale world war and / or genocide around that time, and possibly some nuclear exchange. The world will be overrun with refugees from all walks of life, from people fleeing the equator to people fleeing coastal regions like New York City or the entirety of Florida. None of us will be alive to see it, but it won't be fun times for the future generations if we don't divert our course.

Because they were bred to be dependent on humans, but still

I agree, but there would still be billions of survivors. We aren't going anywhere any time soon.

Giant meteor has never been involved in any sex scandals.
