I'm more concerned about having a voiced protagonist, it cuts the RP out of RPG significantly. I like to roleplay characters and imagine their personalities, such as a patriotic NCR nationalist or a retard who solves things by hitting them with his retard strength. Giving the protagonist a prescribed personality removes that element, Bethesda's writing falls flat nowadays and I don't want them to screw up our characters.
how is that that terrible, you're still playing a key, versetile role, and how does this stop you from being a retard who solves things by hitting them with his retard strength
I wonder what the T-60b power armor looks like, though right now it looks like a variant of the T-45d
It's like Enclave Commander but official and with a minigun, fuck yes.
There is still levelling up and there are perk trees. They're going to Skyrim way.from the looks of it.
Ugh.
At least all the graphics whingebags can shut up now, i think it looks brilliant! less focused on top of the line graphics but enough so to look good while adding loads of wanted features from the previous games/mods/community ideas........nice job Bethesda nice job.
Just watched the blood n guts trailer and the gunplay looks exactly the same, except with faster firing guns
Someone didn't notice the crosshair.
how is that that terrible, you're still playing a key, versetile role, and how does this stop you from being a retard who solves things by hitting them with his retard strength
Because they'd be telling you how your character is, rather than letting your choose that.
It also appears the "X-01 MKII" parts are from the Enclave's original advanced power armor.
I expect godsworth to call me Mr. Jackass if I want him to. Would've been cool if they did the thing they do at the acapella website and record a ton of basic parts of pronunciation so they can be spliced together to work with any name.
Wait a minute so will the setting be just Boston, or rather a large area of Massachusetts which includes Boston? (ala Fallout 3) I'm assuming the more wasteland-like pics we've seen so far are on the outskirts?
After the shock of there being voice actors, which I've just about come to terms with and can see the value of, I'm kinda worried the only non-power armour outfit is the vault suit +/- some armoured parts First thing I always do in F:NV and F03 is ditch the vault suit, It feels too vanilla and boring.
did you actually watch any of the gameplay montage. the first 10 seconds or so showcases different outfits/attire you can wear. why would they get rid of having massive amounts of clothing choices that every single fallout beth game to date has had?
how is that that terrible, you're still playing a key, versetile role, and how does this stop you from being a retard who solves things by hitting them with his retard strength
I didn't say it was terrible, you're putting words into my mouth. However it pushes the player into a predetermined character, like the way Commander Shepard is always the same character no matter how hard you try to break the mould. It has its benefits too, but to die-hard roleplayers it can be very restrictive.
But they showed the main character wearing a shitton of different outfits, even wearing a dress at one point, did you even watch the trailers?
Watch the trailer before commenting about it? That's almost as absurd as reading the OP
Someone didn't notice the crosshair.
Oh wow a crosshair!!! That totally quells my fears of mostly bullet sponge enemies with AI that includes running at you constantly as you shoot at them and they don't react, no squad or group tactics and no cover tactics. I forgot that the crosshair and accuracy was the only thing about FO3's combat that was lackluster!
If it doesn't feel like a half finished mod like the previous games I'll be very happy. I could give two shits about graphics, but actual gameplay is a bit thing for me.
if you set your intelligence to 1 would it even be legal for your spouse to have had a baby with you

Part of the fun of having 1 Int was having lines where you had a head full of rocks and the comedy it came with.
I is scientistic
ICE CREAM! The voiced protag doesn't really bother me. Its literally the same as fo3 only this time someone reads it once you select it. The most important part is that they give you varied options which was kind of hit or miss in fo3 vs new vegas.

ME KILL YOU NOW Yes. God yes.

holy fuck the idea of making a custom suit of power-armor with jetpacks, flying into the brotherhood's territory and wrecking them is enough to sell this game
The weapon customization and settlements sold it for me, also the video where he's blowing up brotherhood in vertibirds. I guess they will actually be assholes and hermits just like in NV and the classics.
I'm just glad the Rock-It Launcher is making a return. [t]http://i.imgur.com/me38jmX.gif[/t]
I hope the moral system isn't so black and white.
There's a lot of focus on the power armor, what about stealth? Will they actually care about making sneaking more enjoyable, or will they just not care and tack it on like in the other games?

At least NV added in suppressors.
