Next Assassin's Creed will Feature New Setting, New Hero

Am I the only one that would like to see a game centered around Adam and Eve and how they stole the Apple, what they did with it etc. I would really like to see the beginning of the Assassins and how and for what reasons the Templars came to fruition.
There's a reason for that.
Not many games can make staying in trenches and doing nothing more for months at a time, before storming over the top and getting mowed down very interesting.
WWI didn't have all that much fighting. It was mostly just turn-based slaughtering and waiting.
sitting around with trench foot for weeks on end is fucking death metal
gameplay will be based around bitching your allies out for the last MRE and swapping boots.
Same.
As far as i'm aware, i pretty much am, having "Campbell" as my second name and all. (I've not bothered to look into it as of yet, so for all i know. I could be pretty wrong)
I'm not a fan of Assassin's Creed due to the first one giving me such a bad impression, it being set in WW1 could work. However, i'm not sure how you can go through that. I guess you could say that Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was a Templar or some silly shit...
It'd be pretty cool to play someone in the French Resistance during WW2
Just so long as we don't get more Connor. More characters like Haythem if you please.
I just hope they fix the combat. That's my only interest in the Assassins Creed games, yet even after all the "improvements" and changes it feels easier and easier as the games go on.
Maybe you'll get to play an Irishman in World War II Paris who has a vendetta against the German invaders and fucks their shit up with explosives.
Oh wait
This hurts somehow, since Saboteur was great and there is no way in hell we will ever see a sequel, since EA......

Hnng so much wasted potential if ubisoft don't do this.
I'm really hoping for an Ancient China or Feudal Japan. Assassin's Creed's biggest advantage as a franchise is that it can be set anywhere and they used it to great effect in the first game. The Crusades and whole Acre, Jerusalem, and Damascus was new and interesting. Not to mention they can create a whole new protagonist for each game. I was really bummed out when they got stuck on Ezio and his time frame for three whole games. It felt like so much wasted potential.
Ancient China would be sick but I REALLY want a Russian Revolution one (yeah i know about the book but shit that'd be an awesome game)
oh god
I'm calling it now, assassainating Rasputin would be the best mission ever
Poison didnt work. Stabbing him didn't work. Shooting him didn't even bloody work. They had to wrap him in a blanket and dumb him in a river.
~Russian love machine~
Why are so many people afraid of a Female protagonist?
because of the fact that a modern feminists will scream sexism and file lawsuits left and right over stupid shit. Welcome to the 21st century. (Modern feminists, because actual feminism died years ago, you know, back when it was about equal rights and not a witch hunt.)
I just want to have them stop calling it "assassin's" creed, yes I understand that the hashshashin acted like this, but they were more like mercenaries than hitmen. They could at least have used the original word if anything.
Ancient Rome would be pretty badass
One set during the Indian rebellion would be pretty sweet

Except that assassinating Rasputin couldn't be done in a single mission :V
Is the combat any better in AC3?
I haven't tried it, but I always thought that they could do an excellent Assassins creed game in Japan with a similar type of combat like the Batman Arkham games.
Climbing trees, hiding in the winter, fucking up some Turks and the welcomed assassinations.
Balkan wars would be interesting.
Yeah, but no matter what perspective they take, it'd be an internet shitstorm seconds after announcement.
An Assassins Creed in Asia would be so cool. Setting-wise, it would be beautiful.

You literally have no idea how much I want this now. That is stunningly good concept art.
This would be very strange and possibly hard to implement but I could probably see Chernobyl working.
There is a Piece of Eden there.
Or was it Pripyat
I can't remember fully but I know there's one where the nuclear disaster happened

combat was better by tenfold. you felt like a badass and it was mostly fluent. However the biggest problem with AC3 in my opinion was the lack of any huge buildings and its short story.

Setting was pretty bland imo. The frontier was the coolest part but the massive lacking of view points just caused everything to be a giant "walk from here to here to discover this part of the map".
Also Connor was bipolar. People talk to him in a friendly tone and he gets this huge attitude and then moments later he has this compassionate tone when he's talking to the same person.
I wouldn't mind one starring Shao Jun, the Chinese female assassin from Embers. I mean, it's probably unlikely that they'll feature her in a game, but I can dream. At the very least, I do hope they'll make something that chronicles as a continuation of her story. Film, game, whatever, I'm down for it.
For a Japanese setting, I'd think it would be rather cool if they had it during the Meiji Restoration around 1868-1912. For example, the Boshin War between the Shogunate Forces and the Imperial Rule, not to mention the European and American influence as well.
When people think of a Japanese setting for AC, most people think in terms of the Sengoku Period, with samurai and ninja and all that stuff you've heard of before. It's been done many times anyway. The more recent Meiji restoration hasn't really been touched on that much in terms of video gaming and I think it would be an excellent setting for Assassins Creed, due to the two factions involved.
wait guys i already found a leaked image of the new AC game

they'll probably do something predictable like a modern or near future AC which would be really disappointing considering that other settings would be fantastic.
Why are so many people afraid of a Female protagonist?
Honestly? you start an IP with a male protagonist, if you want to maintain the same feel and charm, you stick with a male protagonist. Similar personality, body type, etc.
I wouldn't play Tomb Raider with Larry Croft.
Okay, bad example. I wouldn't enjoy Portal without Chell. Or Metroid without Samus.
It's a stylistic consideration.

In Assassin's Creed so far, Altair, Ezio, and even Connor all had very similar body types, and while their personalities varied, they all had a very familiar feel.
The devs already said they're not going to do feudal japan or ww2 so that's half this thread disappointed

Eh, as I said, Feudal Japan's pretty much been overdone anyway. I still seriously think that the Meiji Period of 1868-1912 would work so much better for an AC game.
I for one would like to go back to Italy.
Assassins in Japan are so highly romanticized fashion, I would be shocked if it didn't take place in Japan.
[editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
But I guess they already said they weren't doing it. So I guess not
[editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
But one thing they need to do, is add harder difficulty modes. The game is always so easy its not even fun.
