Therefore, they have to be checked. The raid was botched - i dont think they were prepared for how immediately violent the reaction was, and this gross under estimation led to the conflict. Firing at the legs is not non lethal. Anything with live ammunition can turn lethal.

You cant guarantee where they all land, when your surrounded by a crowd. Get some realism into your head - this isnt counterstrike. Some of the activists have links with hamas - just because theyre activists doesnt mean they arnt carrying contraband, so it had to be checked. Assumptions lead to death, like the israelis raiding the boat, not expecting to get ganked 30 on 1 immediately. Like i said, they should have waited, and then sunk the boat as soon as it had passed the boundary proper. Would have been perfectly legal and totally hilarious.
