'Original land' is a meaningless, redundant concept that causes more problems then it solves (not that zionists would qualify for this 'original land' thing because you displaced and killed to establish ancient israel). That is simply not done by ANY BOAT ANYWHERE. Actually, in the US, I think a permit might be required to carry/use fireworks on a boat? Flares are VERY DIFFERENT from fireworks. Gather around kids, let me explain how a FLARE works as opposed to FIREWORKS: The majority of flares produced for aquatic usage are WATERPROOF. Want to know another trick they have built into them? A LIGHTING MECHANISM. Now FIREWORKS on the other hand DO NOT HAVE A LIGHTING MECHANISM. They cannot be used instantaneously and require an OUTSIDE SOURCE of heat. On top of that, they are manufactured from cheap paper and powder! Guess what would happen when you try to light a wet firework! NOTHING. Fireworks are entirely useless as a maritime emergency flare, and anyone with any sense would realize this. Yes, if you would take off your liberal bias glasses for a second, you'd see those ARE INDEED FIREWORKS. Not flares of any type at all. Vessels headed for peace don't carry fireworks into a blockade. Pretty much end of story there. The other garbage people have posted in this thread is ridiculous. The gaza blockade illegal? That's highly disputed. So, assuming it is legal, as from Israel's point of view, they had every right to intercept that ship before it even entered their territory. Some of you don't seem to realize that the ship was contacted before it was raided, was offered a way to deliver the supplies, and it refused saying they will head on to gaza specifically. Spoilers: breaking a blockade is a hostile military action. Israel had every right to detain the entire ship. When it returned fire they had every right to destroy the target. Arguing over who shot first is completely irrelevant when the "humanitarian aid vessel" should have surrendered to a search and rerouting. Non-compliance is what pretty much counted as them "firing first." Saying the IDF covered it up and Israel is some evil propaganda powerhouse is insane. If you think the IDF is going to release any footage that would make them look bad, it's common sense that they would not. With the huge amount of brainwashed childes abound of course they wouldn't release anything that could be construed as them doing the harm. It'd simply send people into a bigger uproar as they completely ignore the circumstances of their actions(see: this entire thread). There's a reason that civillian chopper gunning the US did was not willingly released, because it caused the huge shitstorm it did.
