Also, watch the videos, both of 'em. Maybe something will twitch inside your heads.
Answer my previous question first, then I will watch the videos.
The whole point of this blockade is TO WEAKEN HAMAS POWER IN GAZA. Israel sends hundreds of hundreds of trucks in Gaza, why they do that? Because they care about the people.
The only reason why Israel doesn't want anyone other to just come into Gaza unchecked, is because there MIGHT be weapons, explosives etc. on the ship.
Also, another video:

dawwwww everybody picks on israel :(
lets call the waaaaaambulance to deal with this sordid affair
How am I contradicting myself by taking the peoples side? Please elaborate.
Because if you're against Israel and their actions, Hamas takes full control of Gaza and becomes more powerful by the minute. Meaning more oppression and much much much less freedom.
Mr. Scorpio -
You're an idiot. He says the truth, even the president of the UN understands this, otherwise he wouldn't just ignore everything he said.
The speaker was as polite as possible, said all the truth to the face, yet the president ignores him.

I'm against Israel raping humanitarian aid and I'm equally against hamas raping the people in Gaza.
Well then both sides are evil, you just have to choose which one is the greater evil and be against them. All I can say really.
The ships had sharp edges. You could do serious damages with that.
Well then both sides are evil, you just have to choose which one is the greater evil and be against them. All I can say really.
Or you can choose to aid the people and let you solve your conflict yourselves.

In other words, the people of Gaza are fucked anyways? But Hamas have previously mentioned that they would consider renewing the truce if Israel stopped it's aggression and removed the blockade.
Or you can choose to aid the people and let you solve your conflict yourselves.
If there wasn't any humanitarian aid sent from Israel to Gaza, everyone would have been dead there by now. I'll repeat myself:
Israel wants to help the people there but what they DON'T want is to help Hamas to gain power.
Not sure where's the problem here, it's a win-win situation.

Yes, that's completely right. Unless somehow, someone, manages to educate enough people in Gaza and make them understand how real democracy works.
I don't think either the Israel government nor Hamas knows what democracy is.
No, stop fighting using guns and approach them on a diplomatic level, like the IRA did.
Actually it was the British who approached the IRA with the Free-State treaty due to the IRA refusing to stop using guns.

If we are to free them from Hamas, Israel should just stay the fuck away and should not help. They are like vicodin, slowly killing you while they take away the pain.

Someone else's showed me something, I'll just qoute him:
I found this report made by a Danish government institute which among other things discuss the terrorist connections of IHH which is a major contributor to the Ship to Gaza convoys. It's from 2006 and therefore far older than any mudlinging caused by the Ship to Gaza incident. IHH which was the major Turkish partner in this event is definately abusing the term "aid organization". Their actions have previously been considered so disruptive in Turkey that the Turkish government was forced to band them from providing aid during earthquakes.
Some parts from the report
The role of islamic charities in international terrorist recruitment and financing
Yet, the phenomenon of charitable front groups that provide support to Al-Qaida is by no
means exclusively limited to the Arabian Peninsula. Indeed, elsewhere in the Muslim world,
other such entities have been established with near equal success – as in Turkey, with the socalled
Foundation for Human Rights, Liberties, and Humanitarian Relief (IHH). Turkish
authorities began their own domestic criminal investigation of IHH as early as December
1997, when sources revealed that leaders of IHH were purchasing automatic weapons from
other regional Islamic militant groups.43 IHH’s bureau in Istanbul was thoroughly searched,
and its local officers were arrested. Security forces uncovered an array of disturbing items,
including firearms, explosives, bomb-making instructions, and a “jihad flag.” After analyzing
seized IHH documents, Turkish authorities concluded that “detained members of IHH were
going to fight in Afghanistan, Bosnia, and Chechnya.”44
According to a French intelligence report, the terrorist infiltration of IHH extended to its
most senior ranks. The report, written by famed counterterrorism magistrate Jean-Louis Bruguiere,
revealed that IHH President Bulent Yildrim had directly conspired in the mid-1990s to
“recruit veteran soldiers in anticipation of the coming holy war [jihad]. In particular, some
men were sent into war zones in Muslim countries in order to acquire combat experience.”45
Furthermore, in the hopes of “obtaining political support from these countries, financial aid
was transferred [on behalf of IHH], as well as caches of firearms, knives, and pre-fabricated
explosives.”46 An examination of IHH’s phone records in Istanbul showed repeated telephone
calls in 1996 to an Al-Qaida guesthouse in Milan and various Algerian terrorist operatives
active elsewhere in Europe – including the notorious Abu el-Ma`ali, who has been subsequently
termed by U.S. officials as a “junior Osama Bin Laden.”47
And the section about IHH being banned from aid efforts in Turkey
the report
Organizations such as IHH are quick to respond to natural disasters and other human catastrophes.
Unfortunately, these groups often seek to use these situations to gain leverage with
destitute Muslim refugees. In August 1999, when a devastating earthquake struck Turkey,
IHH reached the affected zones, in some cases, even before the Turkish government. Friction
quickly grew between authorities tasked with relief and independent Islamist “humanitarian”
groups. Ultimately, Turkey was forced to ban the IHH from participating in earthquake aid
efforts because it was counted among several “fundamentalist organizations” operating “secret
bank accounts” that were refusing to allow local authorities to oversee the distribution of their
aid resources.60

Too bad that their PR stunt was so successful.
That works both ways.
If you're going to smuggle weapons, why are you smuggling in useless shit they could make themselves?
I mean that's the dumbest thing you could possibly do. That's like NK going to a UN conference and talking about peace, and then sticking a "kick me" sign to the SK delegates back.
They wouldn't allow Israel to check for weapons, so they played it safe and assumed they did have weapons.
You'd be paranoid too if all your neighbors wanted you to cease existing.

Yeah but that's like not opening the door for the mailman and telling him to leave it at the door, and instead he kicks the door down on you and throws the mail at you. :v:
It was international waters, if Israel had just waited until they were clearly in Israeli waters then this wouldn't have been such bad PR. It is a bit of a problem that Turkey recognizes the water as Palestinian waters and not Israeli waters, but the Israelis would have been able to argue their case easier either way.
So people think Israel is doing its best to help the people of Gaza? Here's a partial list of what Israel considers contraband. Remember, this list is far from complete.

If that sort of aid was deprived from me, to punish me for actions I didn't commit, I'd probably start firing rockets too.
I mean, hell, I'm being punished for firing rockets. Might as well start.

Israel says the blockade is only for Hamas. The 1977 amendment to the Geneva Conventions protocols prohibits the use of collective measures that do not distinguish between civilians and military.[17]
This blockade, undisputedly does not distinguish between civilian and military (Hamas).
Maybe Hamas have Macgyver on their side and Israel doesn't want to take any chances.
Oh yeah, a source on the list would be nice.
