Maybe I said something similar but that's not what I meant, I meant that we know that at least in these two periods of time, there were people on the board, the second period shows them "gearing up", if you will, for the fight.

Well, they used the hoses and whatever else to attack, but they were defending their boat, hence attacking in a defensive manner. The attacking the commandos thing is also attacking in a defensive manner, since their goal was to defend the ship, attacking the commandos was the action they needed to do to defend it. When activists spray Israelis with a fire hose in a completely legitimate tactic to keep them from boarding their ship, it's "a defensive attack". You are so full of shit.

The IDF acted in self defense too, the activists attacked them and they had to use lethal weapons to save themselves. The activists though attacked the IDF since it was boarding their ship, both sides acted on self defense.
