They went to make a protest, and got their people killed by poking the bigger, asleep predator with a sharp stick. It was obvious this would happen. Anybody with a brain knew this was coming.

According to sources (Eyewitnesses and videos) Israel fired prior to boarding, the IDF video failed to show that. 2nd of all, the blockade is illegal; the Flotilla did nothing wrong legally.

Regardless, if theory that the IDF was attacked upon landing on the boat, without any provocation (aside from their landing), I don't see anything wrong with them opening fire. I certainly would have. If they were in any way the instigators of the conflict (by that I mean, if they somehow provoked violence), then it's completely Israels responsibility, and deserves condemnation as well as further reprisal. But again, we don't have enough information to say who was right and wrong yet.
