Violent crime in the U.K. is violence against people, sexual offense, and robbery. U.S. is not far off from this definition. Stats are likely still comparable.

As the choose-your-own-stats guy said in a separate video, it's all about value labels. She wants to make it seem like the only reason you'd want to own one is to commit a crime. I personally hate the term "assault weapon" because it's incredibly dumb. If you use a weapon to assault someone, it's an assault weapon. That can be anything from an AK with a 100-round drum to a book to your goddamn fist. It's all just a bunch of fear-mongering bullshit.
