Anyone know how those petitions on We The People are going for legalizing?
Yes, but I wish there was someone better running.
Beggars can't be choosers.
Especially with a two party system
People can still abuse it, doesn't matter if you do it in moderation, some people might do it all day non-stop.
And should it not be their right to
People can still abuse it, doesn't matter if you do it in moderation, some people might do it all day non-stop.
Just like some people abuse Cigarettes and Alcohol. There will always be the abusers, but you cant punish the normal users for their mistakes and choices.
Funny how conservatives and Republicans are so largely not in favour, I thought they were all about liberty and individual freedoms and the government not telling people what to do

Abuse with Weed leeds to psychosis. At least with alcohol it makes you feel ill so most of it ends up out of your system.

Abuse with alcohol can also lead to your death

Depends what you're drinking. Not many people are dumb enough to try Absinthe.
what are you talking about, don't you know weed has no negative effects at all and can cure all forms of cancer
It cured me after a witch turned me into a NEWT!
If it would be legal and all that, i would be curious if the max amount of weed you can take is the same as in Holland, or even less
Depends what you're drinking. Not many people are dumb enough to try Absinthe.
Alcohol makes you dumb(er), so yeah.
Especially considering some broke alcoholics would even drink methanol just to get the buzz.

Again, the arguement where alcohol makes you vomit still stands. So if a person went out to get heavily drunk, they would lose the dangerous amount.

Show me a source for smoking leading to psychosis. Who's to say that the ones getting psychosis wouldn't have gotten it already?
As I said in a related thread:
I mean, whatever happened to the government serving the will of the people?
https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions#!/petition/legalize-and-regulate-marijuana-manner-similar-alcohol/y8l45gb1 - completely underestimated

Routined alcoholics often lose the vomit reflex.
Besides kidney and liver failure galore.

Oddly enough, at least alcoholics can still function.
Pot heads...not so much or at least they won't do more than try to be...spacey.
The federal government would be foolish to not legalize it in the near future. Not only are the economic implications excellent, but if they continue to go against what the masses want, the government will lose face, as well as the courts. It shouldn't be illegal, it's only illegal based on lies and slander.

Do I smell stereotyping?
I sure as hell don't fit that description.

My logic for it is that marajuana is mainly to gain a psychedelic experience. Not quite as extreme as LSD, but somewhere along the lines of it.
That experience can make you lose your train of thought in the long run.
I don't use statistics because it's common sense.

I've lived in a ghetto with a couple of alcoholics.
Even kids with downs syndrome are more functional than them.

Depends on the personality.
But yeah, the weak willed and lazy would just sit on the couch and watch TV shop all day.

Common sense includes using statistics, so show 'em :colbert:

the only link between psychosis and marijuana is those who are genetically pre-disposed to schizophrenia.

No because I've listened to Dark Side of The Moon a shit load of times and now realise why it had a big influence on psychedelia with substances.

Not to mention their condition can also be worsened with alcohol.
Generally anything that messes with the brain can be dangerous for them.

What the hell does one band's album have to do with this?

if you're honestly going to even compare marijuana and LSD your arguments are completely invalidated. they are nowhere near the same level of intensity, and the experiences of each are completely different. Having used both multiple times (LSD 5-6 times) and being a frequent smoker, I can firmly say that the experiences are nowhere near the same.

oh wow. are you serious? pink floyd's best album =/= influence on psychedelia/substances

Anyone can have a psych experience with marajuana, therefore no.

No. There is no "psychadelic" experience. This isn't fucking woodstock.
Depends on the personality of the user.
Yes I am serious. Do you know nothing about psychedelia?
It's all relative.

You don't have any clue what you're talking about.
Heh heh. "High".
Hey Beavis, he said "high". And he's talking about drugs.
Heh heh heh heh heh.
"Heh" kind of sounds like "high" too, doesn't it.
Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh.
But[del]thead[/del] in all seriousness, good.
Welp, there goes my drink.

What would you call it then?
LSD and Marajuana are in the same league whether you might think it or not.

I don't know, look it up.
No they're fucking not.
Atleast go learn about the subject before spewing bullshit everywhere.
