well when does the poll end?
1st March
quick everyone make alt accounts
As long as Jagex goes about everything listed under 'Real World Trading' correctly, the total revamp can be really interesting, I have my high hopes and also big fears. When the Runescape community FIRST started, think of the time difference the personality difference, you will always have 'trolls, fags, scammers, flamers, haters, etc...' However, for those of you who have played Runescape anytime between 2012-2013 will know that the game slowly became ran by the economy being so fucked up and stimulated due to the mass amounts of gold that were in the game itself, and being flushed in and out by Dicers\Stakers\Gamblers. Can you imagine the thought of that demographic restarting this brand new community we are going to have at our disposal? Assuming this whole revamp is just going to get over-run by gold-farmers and bot's and people buying gold ( AKA THE GAME TURNING INTO PAY TO WIN ), people will be able to gain the ultimate advantage way too quickly, and the economy will be such a bitch to start out, then there will be no healthy medium, everything will be back to square one, aside from the shitty update but let's face it... I know there are people out here that know that the EOC wasn't the only thing ruining Runescape since 2007.
It'll be a week or two where everyone who can will come on and play, then most will leave or go back to the new runescape. It'll settle down and it'll probably be small and less stupid than the current community.

I'm just happy that the G.E. won't be around.

It used to be a lot less popular, regardless gambling has always been around, I was more so picking at the fact of RWT, if you re-read my post.
leveling will be bullshit, literally everything will be completely filled with people for at least a month and only then will it slow down, because runescape wasn't even that popular until runescape 2 came out, so the economy and stuff had a good pace to grow at, instead of this sudden MASSIVE boom that'll occur
I predict that the training grounds closest to Lumbridge will be packed, but places further away will have less people playing in general. So my plan is to find a different area far away to train my character in peace.
I predict that the training grounds closest to Lumbridge will be packed, but places further away will have less people playing in general. So my plan is to find a different area far away to train my character in peace.
Now I will do this.

Going to be a hot spot, but only for the knowledgeable.
So what am I supposed to do with my purple partyhat? Is it worthless now because it's on the EoC servers?

This is a guide of W2 Falador, looked awesome.
Anyone know what the number of votes are at?
Anyone know what the number of votes are at?
231.6K www.runescape.com/title.ws
moving really slow now
Been years since I've played ruenscape. one hell of a game though.
Thankfully, Mod Mark says the difference will be made up if the votes are nearing a new tier by the time the vote is over. Even if we don't get anymore votes at all, we should be set on the 250K benefits. Still don't see 500K happening whatsoever, but that'd be nice. Although, considering it is Jagex, I have a feeling that in time all of these are going to be implemented regardless. Especially when the community for the 2007 is grown/stable.
Thing is that they will require you to pay standard membership to be able to play if it reaches 500k, but not 750k. Eventhough i've had awesome times on the servers, even as a member, I am not going to pay for membership to start over completely just to play on the 2007 server.
I'm hoping for 500K, but I doubt it'll happen. I'm happy to pay a few more quid to play old school RS though.
So does that mean that the total cost of an RS Old school membership rounds to ~$13? $8 for regular membership + $5 Old School Cost?

Damn, thinking about old school runescape is making me sad. Some person I met helped me beat the final quest for free players which allowed you to wear rune, not only that but this person even gave me my first set of rune armor. This person said that they live somewhere in New York. That's all I really remember.
Fingers crossed for free to play!

Seems a lot of people have massive history with this game.
Can't believe how old this game is. I remember playing it back in 4th grade with a shitty Dell computer from 2001 and AOL. That was 8 years ago; just recovered my password and I still have the rubber chicken from 2005. If this does by some miracle get to 750k votes, I would love to play it again. Even if it doesn't, I might get member for a few months just to play it. Also, does anybody know if Runescape Classic servers are still up? Loved that game, too, but always had to play on private servers.

I remember in like 2005 or 6 how I beat the final freeplayer quest. I only had a pickaxe, a shield, and a shitload of food. I kept walking up to hit the dragon, run out, and repeat.
annnnnnnnnnnd 250,000 Votes. One step closer.
Well we broke the 250k mark, thats good. I'm still hoping for 500k to keep cost cheap. (Might as well join the history bandwagon) Back before we had a stable computer, me and my brother would go to our local library and play it constantly. I also kept in touch with a old friend of mine who had moved to Thailand through it. Needless to say, many good memories; I remember my user name was "Sir_Winkerton" or something stupid like that.
I recently recovered my first account, which got banned around 2007 because I tried my hand at scamming some people out of their rune chainmails. lol This is the account that I hope to find away to upgrade and vote with so I can jump into the 2007 servers. The name is Didntipku, if any of you want to add me. Those of us that are going to play the 2007 servers should organize a get together in-game. Seeing the names of old RS buddies on my friends list really threw me back a couple years for a moment.
