Their player base is the old school players and young kids and those without decent PC's. Guild Wars 2 won't exactly run on a shitty generic PC. They're only extending the vote to members (people who are paying for a subscription) so I think that tells you they are looking at their already existing player base for the most part. I will agree Guild Wars 2 obviously has higher production values, but Runescape runs on a toaster, in your browser and was developed by much less people and stands in it's own right as a classic in my opinion.

You're right there. I can't argue with that.
This is such a guilty pleasure. It's fun because everyone is still low level.
I've been training some skills since 30 mins and nostalgia is always a good feeling.

Oh yeah guys, just a bit of advice:
Do the Stronghold of Security, Waterfall Quest (It'll be a bit hard but there's loads of people doing it anyway) and Death Plateau.
Doing the stronghold gets you a quick and easy 10K plus some boots, Waterfall Quest for lots of Attack and Strength XP and Death Plateau for some lesser Attack XP and climbing boots which are good boots to use for a while.
Decided I'd pass on thai food tonight and got a month of membership.
Feels exactly like it did when I was playing in 2006, some of the animations seem different than I remember but other than that it's pretty much how I remember it. I also for the most part forgot how to play and I forgot what most of the areas were like so it's pretty great. I don't care if I stop playing this after a month, it's worth the $8 and I've only been on for an hour.
