This poll will most likely get over 750k votes. There's around 3 million members that are active and if only 1/3 of those 3 million members vote, the vote'll be a great success. We'll be getting old RuneScape back, without a monthly fee most likely. Also, already 72k votes as I posted this.
I'm just wondering if they'll add any of the new content back into the 2007 version. There have been some cool items that have been released in recent years that would still be fun to use in the oldschool version.
It definitely will get content updates if the poll hits 750k votes By the way, can someone give me an update on the poll? I cannot see it right now

Just so you know - Apparently you can vote once per browser and it works. So give it a try if you can vote.
Wow 107k on only the first day. I do hope it hits at least 500k.
Since many of us are only seeing their website for the first time in a while, I'd like to point out that they have a timeline of all of their changes. I love the fact that they have a screenshot from the ingame riots when they removed PvP:
I was in those riots wearing a pink skirt. Good times.
~110k votes in 24 hours. I have a feeling it's not gonna climb anywhere past 200k, everyone who really cared has already given their vote. gg

I love that Jagex has a screenshot of that for their PvP removed part in the timeline. I know a lot of people here absolutely hate Jagex, especially because of the New Runescape, but I for reason really like them despite of all the stupid shit they've done. [editline]16th February 2013[/editline] Oh god looking back on this timeline makes me nostalgia hard.
I would vote but I can't remember my Runescape account since it's been years since I logged in and I cannot remember my old password haha. My password request got denied because they expect you to remember a password you made years and years ago.
As I understand it, even the 500k votes only gives access to paying members, no? Needs 750k votes to be exactly what it used to be. Only about 110k votes now, I dont think it'll even get 500k.
It doesn't even matter anymore. It reached 50k, which means that it's happening one way or another. Whether you want to pay for it is your choice.

A 2005-2006 snapshot would have been better anyway. This is the kinda HUD I'd like to see... Well maybe with Farming too.

I still hope for 750k though
I remember occasionally heading to the roof of the Lumbridge Castle and seeing the large party of members and non-members up there. Then they added the bank up there for some reason.

I like the GE, though I think that the latest microtransaction stuff is a bit trash.
Because Con was a buggy money sink and Hunter a boring grindfest. and because 2007 is where I would've quit even if they hadn't removed the wilderness. It just became way too boring. [editline]16th February 2013[/editline] Oh and going to World 1/2 to buy something felt like visiting a Shopping Center IRL, while the GE feels like eBay.

I'd understand a bit if someone said dungeoneering and summoning ruined the game since your combat level changes and you can get advantages in combat, but Construction and Hunter barely changed anything else in the game.
What I didn't like about them was the wasted potential. I thought construction would allow players to build entire villages/cities on some separate plane/place on the world map and Hunter would make you chase animals around or shoot them in order to capture them, not sit there and wait.
From the FAQs
If I'm not currently a member, why should I pay just to vote? Should the poll be successful, anyone who votes will get their first month of old school RuneScape for free, regardless of the level of polling. This means a paying now to vote is also paying for your first month's subscription to the 2007 service.
This means that if you vote in the poll, you will get a free month of membership for the 2007 Runescape even if your membership has expired. So you should pay for a month of members now just to vote if you plan on playing the 2007 Runescape, or planning to play as a member if it hits 750k votes.
Oh man, I remember way back in the day, being level ~25 or so, banking all my items and wasting several afternoons just wandering around the wilderness, exploring. I found the (at the time) one runite ore in the free player part of the wilderness, prospected it, and took a screenshot. Good times. I wish I still had that pic.
I loved avoiding the word filter. Somehow it didn't censor motherfuckingbuttpirate or asslesschaps. Then i said it in front of a mod and I got a black mark, and they got censored. Unfortunately i don't have my password, or any payment information/transaction IDs, so my account recovery requests get instantly denied, even though i remember the original passwords and the recovery question answers. Shit sucks, seeing as some friends are playing without me.
I remember feeling pretty gangster with my chaos rune low level mage blast spells or whatever they were called, rocking some Zamorak robes like a boss and luring some guy into the wilderness and having one of my buddies come out from behind a tree and gank the dude, no homo. 'Oh ye bro let's go pking deep wildy' to lure the dude, shit was fun bro.
Damn, only 30k votes today. I feel like I need to repost this: From the FAQs
If I'm not currently a member, why should I pay just to vote? It's sneaky, typical Jagex.
It will not hit 750k votes. or even 500k for that matter.
