I am a PC gamer, and have been for a few years now. Yes, originally I was console, until about age 14 when I got a job and bought my own computer. Probably have touched my Xbox 3 or 4 times since them. The whole dedicated server thing still doesn't bother me. If IWnet is going to do all the same thing you can do with a server list filter, than really, it's not that big of deal. Quit being such a self-indulgent prick, you don't deserve anything because you play a video game on a different platform.

Does this mean that IW2 will NOT have LAN?

Matchmaking was created because consoles are targeting casual users who just want to play anything as long as it falls within a certain category. That's too simple and too limiting. You've obviously never hosted a server so I don't expect you to understand how much this sucks. Oh, and the whole, "DEAL WITH IT" approach isn't a very good one for a developer to have. IW already potentially lost 7 million dollars in sales by doing that. Do us a favor and stop arguing that it's "not that bad" because you don't know what you're talking about.

I agree totally with you guys about this debate. It is unfair in my opinion to make a major change like this so close to release. As i am a Xbox360 gamer i still agree 100%. And for the previous user calling console gamers fags, put a sock in it, no need to be an asshat because i play on a console and you play on the PC. It's the same game.
