Trans people get a cosmetic change to their body that serves no purpose and has no function. They can't do anything with a fake vagina or penis. It isn't a life threatening issue (ignoring depression, if they want to kill themselves they need to go to church or get therapy).

even people who go through with a sex change still often have identity problems, and the only way to actually help them get through it is what most doctors assign: counseling and therapy
