When you are dealing with easily swayed voters, or undecided voters, you really have to make it look like you are in charge. Biden's interruptions may have not worked for people like you, but it did for the majority of undecided people. He had more substance to his arguements as well. Paul Ryan was basically using politcal jargon to make it seem like he knows what he's talking aabout.
sorry i don't take highly of a man who just smiles and smirks and interrupts his opponent when he disagrees; i do however, respect a man who sits patiently & respectfully and waits his turn to speak. Basically, an adult, not a child. also, it's funny that biden was whining about not getting enough time to speak when he had always been 2 minutes ahead of ryan. I don't care if ryan is republican or not, he didn't act like a spoiled brat.
This blog takes in more information than just polls, polls suck, they don't mean anything ever.
what? you do realize nate silver's model incorporates polls, right? of course, any single poll doesn't really matter.
everyone should be laughing at romney and ryan. Biden was right to be doing that.
I seriously believe that Romney will take any given opportunity to place right-leaning judges on the supreme court and absolutely fuck over any attempts at reform for years to come. "They're going to be the same" is just as unsupported a view as "they're going to be wildly different."
Yeah, but some people seem to be implying its the end of America if he wins. Granted I think he's a terrible idiot who should not get anywhere near power, but I don't like Obama either or Ron Paul or all those other crazies.
Romney put on a better show and Obama had a poor showing. Don't blame the public.
er no, blame the public for sure. if you were impressed by shouting, interruption and spending the entire debate running away from every campaign promise you ever made you're an idiot
PATRIOT Act renewal as well as longer than usual extension signed NDAA signed Assassinations Secret Wars
It's not like Romney won't support any of those either. I find it hard to believe that someone who is unapologetically a plutocrat (as opposed to merely being cravenly obsequious to the Military industrial complex) is going to take some hard moral stand against killing brown people on the other side of the planet. At the very least we get someone who is exactly the same as Romney but who won't put any rightwing judges on the court and who won't waste a couple of years tearing down Obamacare and instituting his own, identical plan as a means of placating all of the rightwingers who honestly just don't care about reality anymore. That's enough of a reason for me to leave the house in November. If you wanna stick it to us wimpy liberals or whatever angle it is that's driving you to your first carepost in months you cant just tell us why Obama would be a bad president; you also have to show us how Romney won't be noticeably worse.

I don't like Romney either. Obama is inept, but Romney comes off to me as a sleazy used car salesman. All I'm saying in this thread is that Obama isn't any better an option.

We're not going to get Jill Stein so we might as well just get demi-Romney
i wish we could get Jill Stein...
I wish we could get Ben Stein [editline]16th October 2012[/editline] Or even R.L. Stine
I wish we could get Ben Stein
that dude is a fucking idiot he thinks evolution was a creation by the nazi's and says that atheists are secretly trying to exterminate jews
I wish we could get Ben Stein [editline]16th October 2012[/editline] Or even R.L. Stine
R.L. Stine 2012 We need someone to deal with those fucking spooky skeletons.
I wish we could get Ben Stein [editline]16th October 2012[/editline] Or even R.L. Stine
Ben Stein is a mentally challenged man who disagrees with science and compared Obama to Hitler.
Obama isn't the greatest but oh god Romney. For those who don't believe he hasn't released his tax plans, tell me that he has.
Good luck Mr. President
I'm Canadian and I don't like where this is going.
Ben Stein is a mentally challenged man who disagrees with science and compared Obama to Hitler.
But if there is one thing Ben Stein knows, it's how the market works. Fortunately a potential President's personal beliefs are irrelevant, since Congress is the one that writes the laws.

If you disagree with the scientific method your opinion on the market is irrelevant because I don't trust you to make an informed decision.
My avatar will lose this debate... I hope.
But if there is one thing Ben Stein knows, it's how the market works.
no he doesn't know anything
Don't be so hard on Ben Stein guys. His voice is so boring and droning that by the time he would be re-elected he would be finishing up his inauguration speech. That seems like a pretty safe candidate to me.
My parents seriously plan to move back to the U.K if Mitt Romney is elected. Everyone in this household hates his guts and everything he stands for. (not that we know with him changing his mind so fucking much.) And it really sucks too since I've got tons of friends here. I really hope Obama 'wins' this and gets the majority of America's vote.
I'm afraid for what will happen if Romney wins and I don't even live in the US seriously you people had better sort your shit out
seriously if you think that american politics are anything other than a big joke you really need to check yo self
t-minus 60 seconds
Here's info about Romney's tax plan. http://www.romneytaxplan.com/
seriously if you think that american politics are anything other than a big joke you really need to check yo self
At the very least, America needs to get rid of the electoral college and the first past the post system.
Yeah, let's go Romster. Woo-woo.
And the shitflinging begins.
It begins...
