Republican Senator Yells out 'You Lie' During Obama's Health Care Speech

Oh god I can just imagine.
Obama: And with the new healthcare system those without insurance will--
Senator: :objection:

Or you get a different brand of the offending part next time around.
It's hilarious how these republicans think the system is broke because they didn't win the election. I didn't hear them whining about it in the last eight years.
Oh no democracy is only good when I win.
I was just watching the rest of that speech, and the part I disagreed most with was the fact that he wants to require everyone who can afford insurance to buy it. He compared it to auto insurance, which he even admitted is only on the state level. I don't particularly want to buy insurance, but Obama seems to think that people who don't buy it are irresponsible and they make taxpayers pay for them or something.
I don't know how it costs anybody else anything if I don't have insurance.

They're conservatives. The system is never broken.

When you smash your face in a car accident and you're brought to the ER the doctors aren't going to let you die because you have no insurance. They have an obligation to treat immediate life-threatening problems regardless of payment, which means services are given with no compensation in any form.
That harms the industry as a whole and prices shift to compensate.
That's the logic, I'm not saying I agree.
That's why it's illegal to drive a car without car insurance.
Why isn't it working?
The only thing you have said is that a guy you don't like was elected. Boo fucking hoo cry about it.
-We've got debt piling out the ass
-We're deepening said debt by spending and spending and spending and spending, etc.
-Politicians won't get anything done because they're more loyal to the special interests that elected them than the majority of people they represent.
-The people we elect frequently and blissfully ignore the opinions of the people they are supposed to represent.
Example of how the system is not working: California is so fucked out the ass that we almost literally have no budget. We are losing money for education to fund a swollen, overcrowded prison system; we are losing money for public works because we're spending it on the prisons, frivolous projects, and our state's new bridge to nowhere: the high speed rail system. Despite this shit happening, Sacremento has been unable to agree on anything, and has continued to make the wrong decisions time and time again. When the system is being run like this, something is fucking wrong with it.

Yeah, Obama did mention the ER, but they can bill you later can't they?
If I went into the ER, I'd would have every intention of paying for it. Which is responisble, but Obama decided to generalize instead and call someone like me irresponsible.

I want to change it. Change being the operative word. Alter for the better, not wallow in the bureaucratic muck that we're ending up in.

What a hero.
Also, SC resident.
Also also, we are too mature to throw shoes.
I think the economy is declining unusually rapidly right now because of the "trickle-down" theory. It should theoretically work during periods of growth because there are plenty of people looking to invest their money in capital. But, since the economy is in decline, there's less investment and those with money (whom benefit from the Bush tax cuts, especially) are buying T-Bills and holding on to their money rather than investing it, because that's not the most profitable thing to do right now. There's more to my thoughts but hell if I'm going to think about it much harder than this right now. Related to the topic at hand? Close enough.

We've been going in and out of debt constantly since the start of the nation.
You do not understand the system of lobbying if that's what you think.
If the people you elect ignore you it is your responsibility to elect someone else. If the masses want to tolerate that, the masses can tolerate it if they so choose.
Stopped reading at California. Conservatives crying about California what else is new.

They can try to bill you but that doesn't mean you can pay.

We need to encourage economic growth, the government needs to step out of private business, and we need to let the business cycle work.

I don't like Obama's policies, therefore I'm Conservative? Makes perfect sense, that must be why so many Democratic senators don't want to vote half his shit through.
Right after he yells it Obama points to him like he is his father.

I don't agree with either side (Republican or Democrat), both of them are a tad too radical for me.
Come to think of it, I can't find one political party in the US I can fully get behind, but I can most closely associate with the more moderate democratic politicians.

I dislike Obama's policies for Libertarian rationality.
You dislike Obama's policies on the same basis as conservatives.
If it sounds like a horse you can assume it's a horse.
When you are treated in the ER and don't have insurance, it's likely that you'll never be able to pay for what was performed on you.
He wants everyone to have health insurance so that those who would be paid don't lose money and raise prices to compensate for it.
Pretty comparable to the banking situation. Bank forgot about the part where people they loan money to should be able to pay them back. Bundling all the deadbeats who take loans they can never repay into neat packages and selling them to other banks didn't help the situation either.
