that's like saying "I don't wear a condom during sex because i'm too lazy to buy one"
Doesn't Microsoft know that Chrome's the new top browser? Well it's not yet but its getting there...or is it already there?
I use firefox (instead of chrome) because
1. My bookmarks (when I treid them import them they were in a messy fucked up order)
2. Easier ascess to my bookmarks i.e 1 click
3. Addons
i see microsoft still has no limit as to how low they can go when it comes to business

What do you mean by 1 click?
I can do that too? - Unless you want more than 1 bar of bookmarks.
Damn it, they are a company. They just promote their stuff, if they just said: Yeah, our browser is shit and Windows is just OS/2 with fancy GUI, no one would buy their products.
Maybe if they made decent stuff and fixed their bugs they wouldn't have to say lies to sell their shit.
Or maybe they could have, you know, acted like mature adults and said that they are working on a fix, instead of acting like kids and spreading lies about their opposition.

they can afford to lie.
I changed to Firefox just because of this.
:smug:
And now Facepunch looks better.
I wonder what browser Bill Gates uses.
Sneaky Microsoft...
I always use IE.
When I reformat and have to download a different browser.
patch is out now
What do you mean by 1 click?
hell yea.
Firefox is better anyway.
Does anyone even have a report proving IE8 is not as secure?
in before microsoft bashing. It is in microsoft's best interest to keep people using their software, so what are they going to do? Support it.
And why should anybody bother using something that gets support AFTER people actually start leaving, while there are many others that progress constantly?
Just let people choose IE if they want.
Just let people choose IE if they want.
I am not telling anybody to not to use IE. I am just pointing out why they shouldn't, and that there are better alternatives.
I also make fun of them.
hey guys let's not forget the only reason people are going batshit about IE usage is because of those chinese sneaking in to our computers!!!!!
better look out those chinks are after your social security number and bank info!! better watch out because your money and job are going with them back to bejing!! oh shit oh shit
I'm actually getting sick of firefox. It always fucking resets my homepage and settings once a week and i've uninstalled and redownlaoded it a few times now. Opera is rubbish also so I guess i'm going to have to try Google Chrome.

If you weren't so lolapple you'd realize there's a way to disable that.
[release]With world governments advising citizens to switch from Internet Explorer to alternative browsers, and an unpatched security hole in at least two major versions of Internet Explorer, Microsoft has to do something to restore faith in its browser. Easiest way to do it, apparently, is by saying that other browsers are even worse than IE.
Microsoft’s UK security chief Cliff Evans told Techradar, “The net effect of switching [from IE] is that you will end up on a MORE secure browser,” and that “the risk [over this specific] exploit is exponential compared to Firefox or other competing browsers… you will be opening yourself up to security issues if you stay on IE”
Evans then downplays the seriousness of this problem. “The reality of the risk is exponential, even if you have IE6; you would have to go to a website running the exploit,” he says. Even if we disregard the fact that many very serious browser vulnerabilities work in that way — e.g. you have to visit a website running an exploit to be affected — there’s still the fact that this particular vulnerability isn’t just lab-tested; it’s been successfully used on unsuspecting victims in the real world. This alone makes it as serious as security holes go. [/release]
I fixed your press release Microsoft. Now, can you please start working on your browser so that you don't have to blindly defend your broken web browser every time a huge exploit is found (with or without huge businesses affected also)?
I'm starting to lose faith in microsoft, they try to cover up their failings by casting blame on others.
It's simple. Make IE better and people will use it without being pressured.
Good try Microsoft. Just give up.
I still use IE. Only because I'm too lazy to go download Firefox again.
YOU HEATENISTIC COW!
On a less hateful note, I've never not been using Firefox, except when Netscape Navigator was the norm'.
You people act like using I.E. will have your computer riddled with viruses within seconds.
I doubt any of you claiming it is shit have even used it extensively. You just beleive all the "firfux is da best" bullshit spammed everywhere and roll with it.
I've used both. I prefer I.E. I am virus free. The fuck is the difference?

Why shouldn't I?
Convince me.
:colbert:
I loves me my Firefox, but the new Opera release looks really promising. I like the Windows 7 integration, something the Firefox team still hasn't fucking figured out.
