you wouldn't actually be calling todays american society anything but almost completely obedient, malinformed, intimidated and unorganized, would you now?
If governments in europe started raiding homes and shooting people, beating and abusing people on camera no less or pass legislation that circumvent our constitutions you would see a completely different picture than a couple students sitting in somewhere getting teargassed and arrested
[editline]26th April 2012[/editline]
and another group standing next to them with their iphones out going ooooooooooooooooooh nooooooooooooooooo
Kony 2012
Honestly who cares. Even if Obama is beat by Romney, it will be the same shit. It's career politician crap. They'll say what they need to say to get elected, it's that simple. Obama isn't any better than the Republicans. He fucking renewed the patriot act when he said he wasn't going to.

You're right, instead a bunch of chavs will go burn down half of London and in the end absolutely nothing is accomplished anyway.

the french revolution wasn't won by sit ins
the french revolution wasn't won by sit ins
what does this have to do with anything
the differences between then and now are huge, you can't really predict what would happen in a European country based entirely off of what happened in a revolution that just happened to take place in France

want to know what that has to do with anything? Aight >>here's>> a 12 yr old friendly explanation of my posts: the US is taking turns for the absolute worst. politically, it is a bizarre wasteland second to none in the developed world. The personal liberties ideology it was founded upon is being cut away by legislation that is being enforced on the pretense that it increases national security (which it doesnt... like at all) TSA VIPR teams have started enforcing roadblocks and "routine searches" on national highway, theres a million dollar datasystem currently under construction, the pentagon announced yet another spy agency, drones are now clear to patrol US skies and police brutality is caught on camera now and this time it's not only against black or other minorities.
Its your choice how long you want all this to go on and how much worse you want it to get but youve let it come this far already
The french revolution wasn't initiated by a mob of idiots trying to rob all the shops, regardless of government association, in order to get new shoes and an xbox either.
Seriously, the London riots may have been sparked by a sense of injustice, but the peaceful protest was hijacked by greedy chavs who wanted to nick stuff. That's like the definition of materialism, not of revolutionary protest. To even compare the two things is insane. For one thing, most of the people who were doing the robbing were on welfare support (something 'MURRICA doesn't really agree with) and were getting help from the government in order to live above the poverty line. That's pretty much the opposite of a ruthless monarchy exploiting the poor for their own wealth.
Yeah of course it's really easy to just brand this on idiots oh man those damn idiots why do they nick all the shit whyd they do that hm must be because they all suck I cant imagine social unrest has another reason like poverty, or people being disillusioned by the system nah, they jus all suck in teh brain lol
Plus I didn't even talk about the london riots. some poster mentioned them and I felt itd save my time not to state that I didn't talk about the london riots but more riots on social inequality and government malignancy like they should happen in america right now but whoops here we go

sometimes when you want to get your voice heard and understood by those in power you have to start a racket in some way or another and not just get teargassed in the face only to be carried away and then be angry about it later on facebook.

Except that we kind of are an undereducated, sedated society, what with the sedentary lifestyle we enjoy and the fact that most people care more about Kim Kardashian and NASCAR than they do the person who'll lead the nation for the net four years.
Modern American Society has striking and disturbing parallels to Brave New World when you stop and seriously think about it, writing that it sounds like "paranoid conspiracy bullshit is itself ignorant.
ron paul's only in it so he can say he got second
and so he can squeeze his supporters for every last penny they got
I guess he divorced his campaign,
Well it was terminally ill.
ron paul's only in it so he can say he got second

yes im sure romney is a more genuine politician than paul
Ron Paul was really never 'in it to win it'. His entire campaign has really been formed around getting his beliefes out there into the mainstream GOP.
I do kind of agree with this. But I like Ron Paul's beliefs. He's that kid in class that has good ideas but nobody listens to because he's different and not generic.
Also, Fuuuuuuuuuck yeah. Mitt Vs Paul.
Yeah! Let's become a 1 party system, that'll work great.
Yeah! Just like George Washington suggested! He sure didn't know what he was doing though.

"The two party system is bad you say? Well, that must be conspiracy bullshit!"
....?
From what I heard, the Libertarian Party with Gary Johnson is gaining enough momentum to be able to participate in the national presidential debates come this fall.
Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck could this be a major blow to the Republican party? Could this be the beginning of the end of the Republican/Democrat trap?
We need politicians that don't use the buddy system damnit!

Paul's healthcare stance is extremely irresponsible. You don't want the Feds stomping on your rights? Well I don't want the State to do so either. My rights should be untouchable. Democracy is shit when society opposes what you stand for because of their dumb moral and idealist bubbles (tldr fuck conservatives)
