so this is particularly funny to me because i watched this whole thing evolve on 4chan /v/ when i was trolling (as in browsing) for the extreme of the extremes of reactions to beyond two souls for laughs. the person that took these screenshots originally [b]also sent them to ellen page via twitter.[/b]
this is just one more reason why games are not "just for kids" and parents need to not just buy a game without reading about it or at least looking at the rating...
maybe if parents were a little more responsible then we could have more mature games

the full frontal nudity actually isnt in the game as part of the viewing experience. i.e. the primary camera does not show nips or a vagoo
however the model is, for some reason, fully rendered where it doesn't need to be. people found this out by moving the camera using a modded ps3 and dev tools. this actually can cause a pretty big problem concerning the ESRB. [b]all content in a game must be accounted for and checked thoroughly[/b] in order to rate a game. even if you can't find the nips and vag and peepees when playing the game, the idea that you can easily access that content can end up being of some concern for quantic dream and david cage.

Not really. Much easier to have one complete model which you are going to be using for a lot of sizing reference anyway and which is probably using a lot of textures from photos than going back in and cleaning up the model in case anyone would go itno the files itself and look at the mesh directly.

All in some way accessible content has to be accounted for. Mere meshes, or textures don't. Not to mention there's a relatively large difference between a full sex on scene hidden in the game files and a naked model which is used, but the camera pans on it in a certain way and it's incredibly tough to change the camera on the place it's played.

As a character modeler myself, I'd believe that the nude body of Ellen Page in BEYOND: Two Souls isn't probably even hers. It could be based on a higly detailed sculpt by a talented digital sculptor/modeler artist of the game - to replicate the shapes of her body (or not, who knows). They have literally a living reference to create anything of her in 3D.
Ellen was originally 3D scanned for the game, but I highly doubt that they scanned her being naked, lol.
Pretty obvious, but I just wanted to share this thought.

heavy rain was like one of the most hyped ps3 games ever
before release everyone was talking about how dark and gritty it was gonna be, and how it was supposed to be a super realistic interactive movie kind of thing, of course it was gonna sell a lot
