A California-based footwear maker has issued a recall after it was discovered one of their boots left what appear to be multiple swastikas in its footprint.
The controversy began after a customer posted a photo on Reddit Monday of the imprint left by his new Polar Fox men’s military style winter boot.
“There was an angle I didn’t get to see when ordering my new work boots,” the user said in the thread, which quickly became one of the most popular on the site with over 5,000 comments.
The Polar Fox boots are manufactured by Conal International Trading, a footwear manufacturer based out of City of Industry, Calif.
oops
Recommended by Hitler himself
"accidental"
Or maybe designed by the world's pettiest white supremacist
Not like they couldn't have seen this coming as the swastika is right there on the sole of the shoe, albeit in comic sans it seems.
Pretty funny nonetheless.
I want a pair for the novelty of having swastika soles alone.
brings a whole new meaning to "Don't tread on me"
I bet neo-nazis are going to pay a fuckton for these in the future if those soles are going to be redesigned.
They are actually missing out on an amazing marketing opportunity here to the Anti-fascists.
Think everyone you disagree with is a Nazi? Want to be able to kick their ass, stomp on their face, and leave a literal mark Inglorious Bastards style? Now you can!
History follows us everywhere.
39 bucks for brown leather jump boots, swastika or not, that's a good deal
too bad they dont come in my size
If they were clever they would sell the rest in India

39 bux for boots is ridiculous. They probably fall apart if you try to do anythign else than draw swastikas on the ground

This is what I paid for a pair of waterproof boots from Walmart and have to say I'm impressed. ~10F out picking car parts in a junkyard in a foot of snow and my feet didn't feel cold once.
"one step at a time"
This is rad af tbqh
But can I heel-toe downshift in my Volkswagen while wearing these?
I'm curious why there isn't more of a market for novelty shoe soles that leave special imprints when you walk. Imagine the possibilities!

tiny dicks everywhere
I am more curious about initial reason behind such a design in shoes - is this to prevent friction or soemthing?

It would cause friction, I would hope.

Tiny? Pfft, I'd be imprinting 10 inch dicks on the floor, I'd have the design run the length of my boot.
"The nazis were here."
"How do you know?"
What if, like, the Nazis had these shoes while marching and like, Nazi-fying everything?

I've just grown skeptical about cheap shit over the years using uncomfortable crap equipment that breaks in a month. We have a saying in finland "köyhän ei kannata ostaa halpaa" ~ "a poor man shouldn't buy cheap stuff" And I've saved probably a ton of money by buying expensive shit that actually lasts.

Though these boots looks like they are for ~style~
Though who the fuck wears boots for style. I don't even wear safety boots anymore because you can get regular shoes with same specs
