This is Political Correctness gone mad.
How many times since winter started have you stopped to look at footprint detail?
You have to be one fucking special kind of snowflake to not only spend time looking at footprints but to also cause enough of a stir to force a recall like this. (excluding the company, if it discovered it...unless it was some asshole in the mailroom. Fuck you Steve.)
I've just grown skeptical about cheap shit over the years using uncomfortable crap equipment that breaks in a month. We have a saying in finland "köyhän ei kannata ostaa halpaa" ~ "a poor man shouldn't buy cheap stuff" And I've saved probably a ton of money by buying expensive shit that actually lasts.

Though these boots looks like they are for ~style~
Though who the fuck wears boots for style. I don't even wear safety boots anymore because you can get regular shoes with same specs
As a poor man, you have to find the right cheap stuff, or the right stuff for cheap.

I wear boots for style, they're very nice boots

Tru dat though. I went to a shop and was triple thinking about buying these shoes because of the price.. I bit the bullet and at the cashier they said they're half off! Lasted me over a year, which is pretty amazing considering the abuse they went through.

Though they were so good that I'd happily pay the full 120 bux for a new pair instead of 60

Did you really need to include that? It was a good joke, you don't need to portray the intended audience as idiots.
I want these how much are they
39 bux for boots is ridiculous. They probably fall apart if you try to do anythign else than draw swastikas on the ground
dude, good boots are expensive, back when I had a factory job I went out to buy some size 16 steel toes with the company voucher and the cheapest ones were 100 bucks, the other new guy who was with me could only find some for 115.
I want these how much are they
bout 40 bucks

I know. EVEN if I found "equally good" chinese shoes for 5th of a price I'd still buy the ones made here for 5x price because

Anti-fascists activists I find are not the most reasonable people lol.

What are you talking about? Antifa is the most peaceful people on earth! Like that time finnish antifa beat up cuffed swedish nazi in the back of a police car.

The investment is so worth tho. I had a pair of 50$ boots that lasted 1 year before one of the soles tore wide open. Bit the bullet and grabbed a $100+ pair and the quality difference is astronomical.
I wonder if I could pay extra to have custom shoes by Sievi(tm) with swastikas on the bottom. I totally would too

I don't think you can really call it political correctness gone mad
I mean yeah feel free to get in a time machine and peruse at your leisure but I don't think you'll find any company from the years 1939-now that would want to be selling boots that leave swastikas everywhere :v:
As funny as this article is, I think we should all learn our history what the "swastika" (aka the broken Sunwheel or Fylfot) ORIGINALLY meant in Hinduism, Buddhism and Germanic Paganism.

For education's sake, in Germanic Paganism, it represented the lightning from Thor's hammer. The more you know.
huh, i guess this is a case of the devil is in the details

it's too late swastika is hitler. It was hilarious reading about some swede historian displaying some finnish plane and getting fucked.

I'd love to have our NAZI HITLER woman support group back with their insignia [t]https://themodelgallery.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/lotta-svard-sign.png[/t]

Aren't shoe prices in Europe expensive as fuck
Aren't shoe prices in Europe expensive as fuck
You can get them that cheap, but... they'll probably be that cheap too in that case.
You can get them that cheap, but... they'll probably be that cheap too in that case.
Not really the case I've found in America, fortunately. If you buy them for like $10 then you start having problems but my ~$40 shoes are showing no signs of wear nor tear.
My grandpa bought some Frye biker boots about 10 years ago for like $300, wore them once, put them up and forgot about them, then found them about 3 years ago and gave them to me and I've worn them daily since everywhere from the auto shop to mountain climbing at 12,000 feet near Silverton, CO. They're still in great shape. My mom bought me some cheaper boots for Christmas that already seem like they won't last the year, but when they give up I'm going back to my old Fryes.
For 300 bucks you'd expect them to be in great shape

Boots of that price last a long time generally speaking
I own a pair I got from the company itself as a tester pair from a family member who runs a shoe store, they're super nice boots and after a literal year of constant non stop every day use walking in all sorts of weathers and conditions and areas, they look brand new. It's kinda crazy. The rep that gave them to me said I should expect 5-10 years out of them.

As far as I can tell, there's no-one really making a fuss about it.
The Reddit thread is full of nazi puns, and while the German article points out the brand name makes this hard to see as coincidence and complains about the Reddit comments being over the line '[from a German point of view]', there's still a pun in the title. ("stempeln" means 'to stamp' but is used like "abstempeln" which means 'to brand as' here.)
It's really quite normal that the shoe vendor wouldn't want to be explicitly connected with nazism, to the point where they'd recall this product over it. They should be able to pretty easily remove the symbol without redoing the whole shoe, unless they're so cheap that's not worth it or there's a friction issue.

I vaguely remember that being taught in school, but then again Germany probably treats this entire topic more thoroughly than any other nation on the planet except maybe Israel.

And when they do get tired they can be put back in order by a cobbler. A lot of cheap boots aren't worth getting repaired but if you buy the right pair of high end boots you'll never need another.
Something to keep Sgt. Doom's feet warm.
Shame they got taken down from Amazon, already had my credit card ready.
Those are pretty nice looking boots. Too bad about the Swazi though.
