It's sad to watch people justify murder for any reason, let alone fucking trespassing. I know we don't have the full story, but still.
I hope they burn this mother fucker alive.
He's not away scott-free. The investigation is ongoing, courtesy of the DOJ and FBI.
I'm referring to when the charges were initially dropped: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/09/george-zimmerman-trayvon-martin_n_1335984.html If the FBI recently picked up the case then that's good news.
He says it was self defence, but doesn't that mean HE should of being screaming out help? Fucking dick, ill cut his balls off and slam them down his throat.
He says it was self defence, but doesn't that mean HE should of being screaming out help? Fucking dick, ill cut his balls off and slam them down his throat.
It's the problem with most self defense laws. Most of them are vaguer than needed.
He says it was self defence, but doesn't that mean HE should of being screaming out help? Fucking dick, ill cut his balls off and slam them down his throat.
Your post made little sense.
That lady handling the call is annoying as fuck. Someone is being shot at, but she still asks stupid questions just to kill time or something. Send a goddamn police car. Damn.
Over here they send police in right when you say the address, after that the lady handling the call asks for additional information and informs the police on the fly.
Over here they send police in right when you say the address, after that the lady handling the call asks for additional information and informs the police on the fly.
thats how it should work. For some reason or another not all police places may be able to. Also that rational wiki link made me puke, SO much bias on that website. Anyways, Hope the guy gets arrested for life for bullcrap like this.
Holy shit how is this guy not being charged? He killed a kid who was begging for his life for no reason other than his own Madness, and *could be getting away with it?* This is horrible.
this guy is still able to carry a concealed weapon think about that for a while
Is this getting a lot of media attention? If so, there might actually be a conviction.
Hey guys, the title of this thread is now bullshit. http://news.yahoo.com/video/orlandowesh-16122564/sanford-police-speak-out-in-trayvon-martin-case-28640523.html Treyvon's Father says the voice on the 911 tape isn't his son.
I call bullshit on that reporting. They insist that the fact that Martin punched Zimmerman shows that Martin was the aggressor despite the fact that 20 seconds before that they confirm that Zimmerman (who was wielding a firearm) left his car to pursue Martin. In what fucking bizarro world is Martin the aggressor for defending himself from a man who comes after him with a gun? oh right, the world where stand your ground laws, de facto, only serve to protect white gun owners because of the massive institutional biases in the american court system

It makes sense. First of all, you may not be the instigator of the incident. You can not just waltz up to someone who cut you off in the parking lot and start an argument with them, then if things go south to expect to be able to shoot them. Does not work that way. When it comes to actual self defense, it has to be viewed as no other option and that you were at risk of serious bodily harm or death. So, if someone comes up and shoves you...you can not just blast them for it. We also have Castle Law, but it is pretty cut and dry when you can and can not use it. This situation here would not have stood a chance, Zimmerman would be charged. As a citizen who has been entrusted by your local government to carry a firearm, I firmly believe that you must live to higher standards than the average Joe. You must be able to control your temper and have common sense. The good thing is a vast majority of conceal carriers are upstanding citizens carrying only for their defense. They have common sense and are not out to hunt for trouble. This guy, obviously, is just out to play police and get himself in trouble.
It certainly isn't Zimmerman's, so who's is it?
well Martin's parents were on Anderson today and they both said that it was their son's voice so yeah, fuck that source.
hey guys there's a petition to try and get an attorney to fight this guy http://www.change.org/petitions/prosecute-the-killer-of-our-son-17-year-old-trayvon-martin?utm_campaign=NbYqYZRNGG&utm_medium=email&utm_source=action_alert
1. Zimmerman called the police to report Martin’s “suspicious” behavior, which he described as “just walking around looking about.” Zimmerman was in his car when he saw Martin walking on the street. He called the police and said: “There’s a real suspicious guy. This guy looks like he’s up to no good, on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around looking about… These a**holes always get away” [Orlando Sentinel] 2. Zimmerman pursued Martin against the explicit instructions of the police dispatcher: Dispatcher: “Are you following him?” Zimmerman: “Yeah” Dispatcher: “OK, we don’t need you to do that.” [Orlando Sentinel] 3. Prior to the release of the 911 tapes, Zimmerman’s father released a statement claiming “[a]t no time did George follow or confront Mr. Martin.” [Sun Sentinel] 4. Zimmerman was carrying a a 9 millimeter handgun. Martin was carrying a bag of Skittles and a can of iced tea. [ABC News] 5. Martin weighed 140 pounds. Zimmerman weighs 250 pounds. [Orlando Sentinel; WDBO] 6. Martin’s English teacher described him as “as an A and B student who majored in cheerfulness.” [Orlando Sentinel] 7. Martin had no criminal record. [New York Times] 8. Zimmerman “was charged in July 2005 with resisting arrest with violence and battery on an officer. The charges appear to have been dropped.” [Huffington Post] 9. Zimmerman called the police 46 times since Jan. 1, 2011. [Miami Herald] 10. According to neighbors, Zimmerman was “fixated on crime and focused on young, black males.” [Miami Herald] 11. Zimmerman “had been the subject of complaints by neighbors in his gated community for aggressive tactics” [Huffington Post] 12. A police officer “corrected” a key witness. “The officer told the witness, a long-time teacher, it was Zimmerman who cried for help, said the witness. ABC News has spoken to the teacher and she confirmed that the officer corrected her when she said she heard the teenager shout for help.” [ABC News] 13. Three witnesses say they heard a boy cry for help before a shot was fired. “Three witnesses contacted by The Miami Herald say they saw or heard the moments before and after the Miami Gardens teenager’s killing. All three said they heard the last howl for help from a despondent boy.” [Miami Herald] 14. The officer in charge of the crime scene also received criticism in 2010 when he initially failed to arrest a lieutenant’s son who was videotaped attacking a homeless black man. [New York Times] 15. The police did not test Zimmerman for drugs or alcohol. A law enforcement expert told ABC that Zimmerman sounds intoxicated on the 911 tapes. Drug and alcohol testing is “standard procedure in most homicide investigations.” [ABC News] 16. In a cell phone call moments before his death, Martin told a teenage girl that he was “hounded by a strange man on a cellphone who ran after him, cornered him and confronted him.” “‘He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man,’ Martin’s friend said. ‘I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run.’ Eventually he would run, said the girl, thinking that he’d managed to escape. But suddenly the strange man was back, cornering Martin. ‘Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for,’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here.’” [ABC News] 17. Police have Trayvon Martin’s cell phone but never contact his girlfriend.[Miami Herald] 18. Zimmerman told the police “he had stepped out of his truck to check the name of the street he was on when Trayvon attacked him from behind as he walked back to his truck.” “He said he feared for his life and fired the semiautomatic handgun he was licensed to carry because he feared for his life.” [Miami Herald] 19. The incident occurred in a tiny gated community Zimmerman patrolled regularly. [Miami Herald] 20. Zimmerman was not a member of a registered Neighborhood Watch group. Zimmerman also violated basic Neighborhood Watch guidelines by carrying a weapon. [ABC News] 21. The police reports were amended to bolster Zimmerman’s claim of self defense. “Initial police reports never mentioned that Zimmerman had a bloody nose or a wet shirt that showed evidence of a struggle.” [Miami Herald] 22. Police ignored witness whose account was different from Zimmerman’s.“One of the witnesses who heard the crying said she called a detective repeatedly, but said he was not interested because her account differed from Zimmerman’s.” [Miami Herald] 23. Zimmerman still has a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the State of Florida. [ThinkProgress] - On March 20, the United States Department of Justice, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney announced they were launching “a thorough and independent review” of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. - The Florida state attorney has sent the Trayvon Martin case to a grand jury. The Seminole County grand jury will be called to session on Tuesday, April 10. - The Sanford city council on 3 to 2 vote, says it has no confidence in police chief Bill Lee. Number 12 annoys me the most.
So where does the case stand as of right now? What is happening to the shooter? Was the family apologized to?
So where does the case stand as of right now? What is happening to the shooter? Was the family apologized to?
FBI is investigating, but so far, he's receiving no punishment and he has yet to apologise to the family.
I wouldnt wanna be young and black in America with people like this guy carrying guns
This reminds me of the R. Kelly trial on the Boondocks. Literally the same fucking case here, cept its a murder. This shit is fucking disgusting man. I seriously hope this man gets locked up.

Secondly: Zimmerman is a half breed spic like me, so stop this shit 'hurr durr he's white', since it continues to imply that only whites can be racist, ignoring the fact that Cubans and Chicanos hate blacks more than most klan members. Thirdly: Are you calling Stand Your Ground laws racist in their own or that in the shithole that is Florida they are being enforced racially?
"despite the fact that 20 seconds before that they confirm Zimmerman (who was wielding a firearm)..." You didn't read his correctly....
I saw that but wielding can both mean having it in your hand ready to go or simply having it on your person.
I saw that but wielding can both mean having it in your hand ready to go or simply having it on your person.
Then by your definition, that poster never said that Zimmerman had his gun out.
Then by your definition, that poster never said that Zimmerman had his gun out.
Yes
Secondly: Zimmerman is a half breed spic like me, so stop this shit 'hurr durr he's white', since it continues to imply that only whites can be racist
no it doesn't. it only implies that to the type of person who loves to pull the "stop playing the race card" card.
ignoring the fact that Cubans and Chicanos hate blacks more than most klan members.
cool. let's get racist about who's the most racist.
Thirdly: Are you calling Stand Your Ground laws racist in their own or that in the shithole that is Florida they are being enforced racially?
I'm saying they're going to be enforced racially wherever there's racism IE everywhere. There can certainly be reasonable self-defense laws, but in a world where the person with the darkest skin is always going to be, from the courts perspective, the one on whom the most suspicion should be cast, then laws like this are, sometimes, going to be used to get away with murder and so maybe these laws should be worded a little more carefully than how they are now. because someone just used this law to get away with hunting someone down and shooting them. I'm pretty sure there is a provision in floridas version of the law that rescinds your claim to "self defense" if you pursue someone to the point of conflict but it's obviously not worded strongly enough because this shit just happened.
Yes
yes. It doesn't matter if Zimmerman had his gun out. He was still a grown man who started pursuing a teenager who was walking down a public path. In an ideal world Martin should have been allowed to do what he felt necessary to defend himself against Zimmerman since Zimmerman was the aggressor. But for some reason people on the news and in this thread keep looking for justifications that Zimmerman would have had to shoot Martin ("Martin was acting suspicious/threatening/throwing punches") even though, to reiterate, Zimmerman was (on Earth 616 and all of it's parallel worlds) the aggressor in this situation and stand your ground laws, conceivably, shouldn't have applied to him.
