Hidetaka Miyazaki is done with Souls games/Doesn't discount the possibility of somebody else doing i
that's a bummer i was hoping for demon's souls remasters and maybe even dark 1
I'd love to see a remaster of both, Demons Souls had some neat looking areas, and with the graphical polish of the DS3 engine and improved mechanics it might be more enjoyable.
DS1 just needs the graphical bump I think. It looks okay still, but it would look pretty cool to see the crystal cave area with all the fancy new shaders.
I am glad. I have experienced some Souls burnout over the past near-decade and I'm ready to let it all rest. I love the series, but playing five iterations of this series I'm read to move on.
Not to mention it's hard to outdo the previous games, and changes tend to leave people miffed.
found the bit about Armored Core
Q: What about Armored Core sequel?

A: Personally I want to do it. After all I was involved in three games in the series.
Armored Core is one of the pillars of FROM Software's lineup, but I can't reveal anything at the moment.
I would love a sci fi dark souls tbh
just imagine something like this

Id love a new type of Kings Field game from them, even though Souls is Third Person KF, id like to see that first person dungeon crawling done today, seems like no one makes those games at all.
The Souls formula is just too good to throw away. I hope they do more spin-off games like Bloodborne but with different themes.

This honestly sounds really dumb. I don't know why you would want just "dark souls with robots". That's derivative and trite and I doubt it would be all that much fun.

As someone who enjoys dark souls as much for the fragmented lore and setting as for the gameplay itself, I can definitely see the appeal of such a style in an interesting setting. Bloodborne is a good example of taking the gameplay style with relatively minor changes and applying it to an interesting setting, though I also found it inferior to Dark Souls and found the setting to carry the experience. In that way I see your point.
honestly in a setting like Blame! it would probably work really well.
Miyazaki was talking about doing a mech game, with magic a while back, I'd be interested to see how that would turn out. Honestly anything by From Software with mechs sounds good to me
Just make another Armored Core like 4/FA

And make it even faster
One of the main problems with sequels to Dark Souls is that a large portion of the fun was discovery, which there's just not as much as when half of everything carried over from the last game.
I would really, really love to see more games like Dark Souls, such as Bloodborne, but I agree that more Dark Souls games at this point would just be kind of meh.
I'd love a Souls-like game with a non-european theme, maybe something Middle Eastern or South American.

i'm more partial to the ps2-era gameplay
when you've got mechs that can move around that fast whats even the point of them having legs

I hope they move away from V's system though, I honestly didn't like it.
I've yet to play 4/4A.
I imagine a Sci-Fi Souls game might be look like a harder, darker Metroid Prime.
If they do make an another Armored Core I hope they focus more on singleplayer this time. V had a pretty lackluster campaign, I never even got around to finishing it. Sounds like Verdict Day had the same problem.
People forget that From used to do other games.
thank god they aren't turning it into assassins creed and shitting out games every year
hopefully they return to it within a few years, maybe 2 or 3 and then release it on the 3rd or 4th year away from it
not just souls obviously, but something with the souls format

A lot of people haven't heard of them until Demons Souls or Dark Souls.
I want to know when they're going to make another 3D Dot Heroes game.
I really want the souls format to continue semi-regularly. No other series gives me the same sense of discovery and makes exploration feel as rewarding.
They can change the setting and stuff like they did with bloodborne all they want, I just want similar rewarding combat and similar effort put into amazing and unorthodox environments.

A setting somewhere between Blame! and WH40k in a soulsborne game would be a dream come true.

Agreed. I can honestly say that I wouldn't mind at all a Souls game every two years that took place in a COMPLETELY, as in no bits whatsoever from the previous game, setting.

I can't go back to the PS2 games, the controls in the new games are too good. I just can't go back to using L2 and R2 to look up and down.
If they made them like the PS2 games just with with modern everything, I'd be okay with it. I missed heat being a factor in AC4 but the kojima particles and weight distribution added a new level of customization

4 and FA are ridiculously fast. Like fighting another hunter in Bloodborne only much faster and they can be above or below you
They still have two games left in their contract with Sony iirc.
Wonder what they could be.
Bloodborne 2 is obviously one of them.
I'd be okay with a Bloodborne 2 if Miyazaki thought the team could do something new with it (since he's not working on it). IMO BB should be considered a one-off and is better for it.
After finishing DS3 to a resounding "eh" I went back and played Bloodborne. First two bosses of BB are more challenging than every boss in DS3. Really shows how much care and effort was poured into BB.

Eh, I don't know about that. I can't think of a single bloodborne boss that took me as much time to beat as [sp] nameless king [/sp], and I couldn't even summon for bloodborne. Though I didn't do the dlc and I hear orphan is tough as nails. Bsb and gascoign are definitely early game walls but IMO the rest of the bosses besides like shadows are kinda a joke. I hear people tend to have trouble with rom but I got him my first try and it only took two tries for me to get his chalice version down.

it's different for everyone
I walked through Gasoine, Rom, Amelia, but I died like a bitch to some of the bosses in the game.
it's different for everyone.
I'm really pleased with the consistent level of difficulty in their games.

Just imagine your team stabbing you in your fucking sleep because you're making the exact same game again with different skins and a few different models after ten years already making the same game again.

That's their "fault", not From's.
Drop the souls series, start making Berserk games instead.

FA was a fucking rush when I played it back when it came out, you started out as some pleb moving at an okay speed, then you start becoming obsessed with making your machine fast and better. Suddenly 3/4 through the game you're blasting enemies whileist strafing back and forth at mach 1.3.
The 3 series of AC felt like when everything went down hill big time. AC3 was alright but it just went to shit after that.
