I'm sure Limed00d is a pro at escaping outward sealed chambers that are kept at a low temperature 24/7.
He certainly sounds like it...
I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for that skill.
I can only imagine the feeling of waking up in a coffin like that, only to find the string yanked loose from the bell from your initial panic induced wriggling around
I'm sure a grave keeper would notice the rope mysteriously missing from the bell and a small hole in the ground where it once stood.
Right?
oh man that's fucking scary
Why do the morges need to have locks on the inside of the units? It's not like a dead body is going to open it, but a live person sure will try to.
I think the intent isn't to lock it as much as keep a firm seal on it, to contain everything inside it.
I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for that skill.
Do tell...
Found a picture of her.

I have an odd dream to be buried alive by accident and punch my way out of a grave to scare the shit out of everyone standing around. But I'm pretty sure it's not possible. Seems like a horrible way to go.
Few decades ago an old man was pronounced dead in my village and was buried the same day. Few years later when his wife died and they opened the grave to bury her with him (here the graves are like small rooms made of concrete) they found his skeleton remains siting in the corner.
Just imagine waking up in a fucking concrete room, no light period
just think about that for 5 seconds and tell me that isn't the worst shit EVER.
Am I stupid for asking why this story has come out so late? this happened in 2010 and the latest thing to happen was in 2012.
Am I missing something?

Am I missing something?
court just ruled that the family could go through with the lawsuit against the hospital ; the 2012 thing was the court throwing out the second filed case because it was too late.
Just imagine the feeling of your body giving up. It's scary to think of being being trapped alive like this. Terrible way to go.
and this is why only the Medical Examiner can pronounce people dead in my county. We dont want shit like this happening.
Would mandatory organ donation help this?
Would mandatory organ donation help this?
Reminds me of a story where a woman attempted suicide, was pronounced dead and then taken in to have her organs removed (she was a donor) and just before they were gonna cut her open and remove her lungs on the operating table a nurse noticed her eyes were open and she was looking around.
She survived but later committed suicide I heard.
what in the unholiest fuck... that's just an incredibly horrific set of events for healthcare right there.
[editline]4th April 2014[/editline]
then again it did happen 4 years ago and this story is only here because of a lawsuit. It's just pathetic.
Bury me with my Iphone fully charged.
There should at least be an unlocking mechanism on the inside, like an emergency panic lever on the door that unhinges it.
It'd be great for the person trapped in the container, but imagine being on the outside.
A sudden banging, clanging, the door flies open, and out comes a zombie that you had already tagged and registered as dead.
If the poor Mortician didn't die of fright they would probably kill the person.

Imagine that though, working late at night, just finishing up paperwork when the morgue freezer OPENS and someone steps out through all the fog :tinfoil:

Joking aside, morgues should have emergency plans and treatment ready in case of situations where someone "wakes" up as it were.

What use will that be? The battery would be depleted before you got into the ground.

Not if you turn it off first.

Bingo! Yes, obviously turn it off first. And the first thing I would do...selfie.

"Yeah just got buried alive and this was my reaction #yolo"
this is literally my worst fear
That's pretty much my worst nightmare, waking up in a small cramped space, no light, no knowledge of where I am, or if anyone can hear me, then slowly suffocating or starving to death alone for hours, knowing you'll never be found, just dying in fear.
That story of the old man in the corner was just fucking dark. Because likely chance, that's exactly what he experienced.
Normally I'm not a big fan of lawsuits, but it really looks justifiable in this case.
I don't see how a lawsuit would be useful. Lawsuits are usually best for people who need to pay medical bills. I think it would be much better if they made sure the people responsible are thoroughly investigated. I don't get how money could possible ease her or her family's suffering in anyway. Never quite got the point of suing over deaths.
The process must be terrible; waking up and realizing that you're trapped or buried alive and just stressing for hours on trying to find a way to get out.
When do you realize that your efforts are just rendered null, that if you just keep going, you might be able to break out?

I used to worry about it but then I watched Kill Bill and now I know how to get out of a coffin.
Boyle Heights is East LA, so that's likely why this happened. Once she 'died' they probably rushed her off to the freezer so they could bring in the next patient. Low income hospitals are always packed with people. I feel bad for the family, imagine someone's grandmother going through that.

The point is that negligence costs the hospital so they have incentive to improve their practices. To think like a corporation, if negligence doesn't carry a price there's no reason to ever improve.

What about spider eggs hatching inside your body and then being devoured from the inside as thousands of baby spiders explode from their eggs? Or being eaten alive by thousands of ants? Or being slowly tortured to death and having your skin peeled off? Or having your body slowly crushed from the feet up? Seriously, don't you an imagination? :P
