Boners achieved.
I don't know about the single player in this game, but the multiplayer is the worst thing ever.
Some of my best multiplayer memories are with this game :( We had an absolute blast trying to screw each other over, especially in the "Emerald Hunt" mode.
Fuck I just sold my Xbox, put it on steam pretty please?
jesus this was by far the best game i've ever played sad that "SA3" turned out to be a terrible unfinished fanfic...you know what I mean...
SHIT YES OH GOD THIS IS THE BEST NEWS my dreamcast sputters blood every time i turn it on, so i haven't touched it in months
Yay! Never got to play this damn thing. I now know what to spend the remainder of my PSN funds on.
This is definitely my all around favorite 3D Sonic game
Fuck yes, I will be getting this. I sold this game with my gamecube and I miss it.
This game is where I got my username from It's probably my most-played game of all time
SHINY CHAOS CHAO BREEDING RARE EXPENSIVE HATS RACING Oh god I miss feeding my chao a diet of yellow crystals and dragons to make it grow fins and breathe fire.
FUUUUUUUUUUUCK YES
I remember my uncle got me this game several years ago for my birthday. Anybody who has played this game will know how I felt.
obligatory
SA2 had fucking amazing music
Some of my best multiplayer memories are with this game :( We had an absolute blast trying to screw each other over, especially in the "Emerald Hunt" mode.
I remember my step brother and I would play the race modes all time. We would try to fuck each other constantly by restarting the match if the other one got off to a better start. Eventually we started calling people who do that "restarded" (we thought it was funny at the time). If we weren't doing multiplayer it would be safe to assume someone would be on the Gamecube farming City Escape for their Chao, I miss being 10
Man, had this game spent another two years in development, and the writers hadn't smoked crack, it could've been great.
I'd say the blame is more on that harddrive failure, yeah the story and voices were still terrible, but it could'ave at least had gameplay if they hadn't crashed and had to restart at the last minute. [editline]20th June 2012[/editline]
and this is the best song in the game. Man, I wish I didn't lose my Gamecube disc. I managed to get every single Emblem and A-Rank, although I dunno if the Green Hill Zone level was worth all that hell. A lot of opinions vary on the 3D titles amongst the Sonic communities; there's a good number of people out there that think this game is terrible, even. But while the constant gameplay switching was a little irksome, I honestly think that, just above Generations out of length, content and replayability, Adventure 2 is personally the best of the 3D titles, bar none.
details?
Apparently near the end of the Sonic 06's development there was a computer crash at SEGA, they forgot to keep backups so they lost a lot of work, but because people were demanding an anniversary game they couldn't delay the release and had to rush to recreate what they could. Resulting in an unfinished game. You can actually see, if you look back at early trailers of the game, and compare the scenes in them to scenes from the "final" product you'll see they were more complete in the trailers. As I said though, this doesn't fix the voice acting, or the story, at least they managed to save the OST so it wasn't a total failure.
Goodness me. I played the shit out of this when I was younger. Will offer a nice nostalgia trip.

for the weird chao things you could raise, wasn't there some super secret ones in the gamecube version that you needed a gba and a gba cable to get? what are they going to do about that? cus i'd imagine they'd do a hd port of the gamecube one, as opposed to the dreamcast one
