I don't think hurting Sony's consumers like this is a perfectly fine way of hurting Sony, thank you.
im glad to be a pc user now and not console
If they did it properly, it would be years
Per account
They could leak it somewhere like 4chan and say, "Go nuts."

Are you incapable of reading or something? If you're getting that message from what I'm posting, then you're some special breed of crazy, stupid or sheer lack-witted.

No, he's saying the hackers are cunts, but going for credit card info is an effective way of hurting Sony
It kind of sucks to know that out of the all the information stolen, you happen to be one of the people targeted.
I bet hundreds or even thousands were
This is definitely going to hurt Sony's rep permanently
I'm glad I had to renew my debit card in March because I accidentally misplaced it (and found it right after I got it cancelled).
I haven't made any payments since the new card arrived, I don't think.
Just need to make sure my mum's CC has expired since 07.
Called VISA again, told them to forget about waiting to see whether or not my online statement was in error and just cancelled the card anyway.
New one on the way
I can still check the statement on the old one though and will be able to see if people try to continue using it

Dang, I was thinking of getting a Ps3 soon too.
Wow, Sony are getting slaughtered. This is going to be incredibly long lasting to the company.
This reminds me I should probably change my email password. I don't remember what I used for the PSN account but if its the same its better to be safe than sorry.
Here's hoping the hacker's won't do anything with the customer's data and just wanted to hurt Sony.

Some people got fraudulent charges on their credit cards.

Well apparently some people are already starting to see charges appear, so that didn't last.

i seriously doubt that
someone with the ability and guts to hack into Sony's network isn't going to just let the potential for millions pass them by.
Shit I had completely ignored this until now. Thanks, Sony for not telling me this a week ago. I've got money stored in the bank for some serious payments coming up in the next month. Even if the charges are small, every bit that gets taken from me will be less money I'll have to survive on until I need to pay some stuff in July.
Checking my cards to make sure no charges are made. Calling my bank tomorrow and getting new numbers for everything.
See, THIS folks is why I don't trust even huge corporations with my credit card info.
question: why the FUCK were they FUCKING storing our FUCKING private info on UNSECURE fucking server.
oh right, because they like getting sued. right.
why do i feel that the hackers are going to do nothing with the info and just take it to make sony look even worse, though i still fear for my shit being taken
Some people are already reporting fraudulent charges. So it doesn't look like they'll be doing nothing with the info.

i hope they publicly release all the CCs, just to piss sony off more.

You are an idiot.
If you had anything linked to Sony such as bank/card numbers or linked accounts like Netflix, you should probably change it to be safe.
The fines for Sony are going to be huge.
If I lose a single fucking cent I will sue Sony for everything.
so this fat kid in my school keeps saying it was "anonymous" and that he knows people who are "in" anonymous.
So if I received new cards I should be fine? I haven't bought anything from the PSN store for 2 years now and just recently received new cards.
