Someone with a lot of technical skill, subtlety and patience must have carried this out. As in anyone but Anonymous.
Well so far no one knows who he is, so quite anonymous. Also anon is made not only out of 13 year old skiddies. It truly has quite some skilled hackers too.
Everyone should sue Sony to the motherfucking ground.
I would not be surprised at all if someone did. In fact, I'd implore it. Sitting on this for over a fucking week while their customer's information is at stake is absolutely moronic.
I feel sorry for the person(s) who did it if Sony catch them, cause if Sony do, the person(s) is going to be fucked harder than a 1 dollar street whore.
The difference being that this time, that person actually deserves it. Fucking around with a company is one thing, stealing personal information is something entirely different.

Seems like the shit hit the fan this time. Hope everything sorts itself out, otherwise this will surely be a huge fucking gut-punch for sony.
You didn't use a credit card so you should be fine.....just joking you're going to burn.
hahahahah lol I knew I was safe
Xbox masterace. [sp]No kidding. PC Masterace.[/sp]
welp
This NEVER would have happened if Geo hadn't released that shit. Don't get me wrong, I see why he would do it but it led to this.
Thank god I put a fake E-Mail and Address in. My current address is 42 Testicle Terrace. You could tell I was bored when I made the account.
This is fucking annoying. I dont have access to my account to see if there are any numbers on it. I dont know if they even store the fucking numbers after I delete them. The bank I use is in fucking Atlanta and I am in Milwaukee so killing my card means I have zero access to any of my money until I get the new card. And on top of all that, they waited 9 fucking days before saying "Hey uh, yea uh, your personal info shit just got stolen we sorry :saddowns:"
They were probably running the entire fucking thing on a bunch of Windows NT machines and their security consists of the admin password being root.
Thank god I put a fake E-Mail and Address in. My current address is 42 Testicle Terrace. You could tell I was bored when I made the account.
So when you're bored you put in fake address but when you're busy you put in your real one? Interesting study.
Thank god I put a fake E-Mail and Address in.
Testicle Terrace? I live just around the corner on Boner Lane.
I'm seriously considering selling my PS3 and the games for it now, this is ridiculous.
I'd like to see them find a use for my details, especially when my debit card expires next month :smug: bank account, you are safe for now. Though this is still a dick move from the morons behind this, and why the fuck does the dev network have the power to get that far into the system? Sure it needs to be trusted for developers to test on it, but Sony should really have restricted that a bit more.
why would someone sue sony over this information had been stolen; it's not like they were giving out credit card numbers to people and I also doubt they were just 'sitting' on this issue - sony is probably going crazy because of all this lately
I'm not saying sue them because they were hacked. It happens all the time. I'm more pissed with the fact that they turned off PSN, redid their security and conducted their investigation with full knowledge that their customers information had be compromised and they didn't say a word for over a week. That's what pisses me off.
I'm seriously considering selling my PS3 and the games for it now, this is ridiculous.
Why, because some idiot fuckheads hacked into the servers? Good luck finding a service that has infallible security on their servers.
I already sold my PS3 and there is no easy way to get to my account without having to go to 3 different sites to figure shit out and to fix it.
lol ps3 got what was coming
Better cancel those cards.
Why, because some idiot fuckheads hacked into the servers? Good luck finding a service that has infallible security on their servers.
It's not normal for the entire thing to be compromised along with everyone's personal information.
lol ps3 got what was coming
lol troll needs to troll harder
lol troll needs to troll harder
I think he was successful enough if you felt like you had to reply.
It's not normal for the entire thing to be compromised along with everyone's personal information.
If people put enough time in it, this shit can also happen to XBL, Paypal or any other service that stores information like this.
Haa haa haa. Condolences to all involved, but I find this very funny.
I deleted my CC info december last year, is that stuff still on the server somewhere or am I safe?
I can see something, it's more clear now, it's falling, going down down down, oh nope, its just a visual representation of sony's stock on my screen.
Right, I guess I am going to go yell at playstation support to get them to delete my account.
I deleted my CC info december last year, is that stuff still on the server somewhere or am I safe?
If it is, Sony is in even deeper shit. They aren't legally allowed to keep that stuff on their servers if you've deleted it.
