They do. You accepted the Terms of Service.
ToS, EULA, none of it matters because none of it is legally binding.

There I fixed it for you.
That external security firm is probably now crying itself to sleep after seeing this mess. Jesus.
I'm talking about compensation. They don't owe you anything for the downtime.
Damn, why didn't they let the users know earlier?
That external security firm is probably now crying itself to sleep after seeing this mess. Jesus.
Don't you mean former and will soon be sued into the fucking ground security firm?
Well shit its been so long since I used my PS3 that I can't even remember if I had important information on it and can't check, ARRGH
Damn, why didn't they let the users know earlier?
Probably because they were scared that a bunch of people would cancel their accounts.
Are you kidding? Oh wow.
If you didnt notice the first two lines was a joke, I though that was obvious But bleh
Probably because they were scared that a bunch of people would cancel their accounts.
No fucking shit. It still will happen after they reopen.
Fuck I bought a lot of stuff on PSN, jesus. Nice going Sony!
Damn, why didn't they let the users know earlier?
Because maybe they didn't know until recently?

I can only hope that the credit information is secure. But their statement about them not exactly knowing, doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence. Everything else isn't that big of an issue for me. I can make a new account, but if someone has my fucking credit details. That's a whole other kettle of fish.
This is karma, Sony fucked over geohotz and so the hackers fucked sony over.
good thing i own an xbox360. still, i feel bad for ps3 users :smith:
The customer is always right
Not according to the American laws, if you ask the court.
This is karma, Sony fucked over geohotz and so the hackers fucked sony over.
Please get out.
I had my prepaid card and my address in there... :frown:
Sony is fucked.
This is karma, Sony fucked over geohotz and so the hackers fucked sony over.
Why the hell did I get dumbs? If sony was a lot more chill about the hacking scene they wouldn't have been attacked so bad.
No more am I going to buy sony gaming products
HOLY FUCK. Whoever is responsible for this better get ass-raped for fifty years in prison. I'll bet it was some butthurt faggot that didn't like the fact that Geohot was arrested.
FUCK I bought stuff over PSN And I used that password a lot I'll have to change it from QWERTY now.... Perhaps QWERTY1 will do it
Why the hell did I get dumbs? If sony was a lot more chill about the hacking scene they wouldn't have been attacked so bad.
It's not really karma when millions of innocent users get fucked over.
Steam master race.
Good thing I have an xbox, and never connected to live in the first place
And this, is why you don't fuck with people who want to run Linux on everything.
Why the hell did I get dumbs? If sony was a lot more chill about the hacking scene they wouldn't have been attacked so bad.
Except for the part where the hacking scene would have lead to this anyway. Just letting them do what they want wouldn't have prevented this. Some asshat would try it at some point, much like how Fa1loverfl0w found the exploit in the first place. Sony got lax on security after removing OtherOS and didn't care what people tried, then this shitstorm kicked up. The fault of this entire mess? The people who insisted on CFW and OtherOS being restored when neither have any real use at this time, or in the future.
Even if you entered your credit card info, as long as you didn't let them hold onto it to make your next checkout easier you're fine.
