Well, I'm sorry I offended you so badly. But it would be more efficent if the military put more :effort: into keeping them occupied.
So when soldiers aren't fighting, they aren't doing anything? If two soldiers were, say, scrubbing latrines, and one asked the other who he thought the hottest celebrity was, a gay soldier could be discharged for saying George Clooney or something. It's not easy to keep something like your sexual orientation to yourself.
It isnt fair, but in all reality you're there to fight not to socialize. By personal information I meant who is attracted to who and sexual interests, religion aswell.
then what the fuck is your problem with this if soldiers are allowed to go "FUCK BITCHES ERRYDAY OOAH", then why can't gays speak out about their preferences?
Well, I'm sorry I offended you so badly. But it would be more efficent if the military put more :effort: into keeping them occupied. What is the point of being "at war" if you arent going to oppose the enemy with all you can.
It's fine, just stop being so anal about gays and then there's no issue.
Yes, You're right, I am acting like a angsty teen because I do not know how I can figure out a way to apply this to everybody in the military without discharging them. I think that people should just keep it to themselves. Nobody needs to know.
I'm Bisexual. Should I keep it to myself on an Internet forum?
You expect these guys to spend every second of what is now their lives doing fuck all with those they fight with? You're a fucking idiot of the highest order and I prescribe stupidity ending self application of lead to your cranium.
Bravehat, your posts make me laugh every damn time.
Bravehat, your posts make me laugh every damn time.
Bravehat is my favorite ITN poster. He's just that awesome.
That goes to far. I'm referring to the concept, but it should only stay within the military not peoples facebook etc, I know you don't like it but half of the population are uncomfortable around gays.
Why did the majority want it's repeal then?
It's fine, just stop being so anal about gays and then there's no issue.
God damit, Fine I'll say it even though it would never work and would be really unefficent. It should be a mental rule with no punishment. [editline]22nd December 2010[/editline]
Why did the majority want it's repeal then?
Because I'm not referring to the policy 100% the way it is.
It isnt fair, but in all reality you're there to fight not to socialize. By personal information I meant who is attracted to who and sexual interests, religion aswell.
"in all reality you're there to fight not to socialize", Do you have any idea how fast you can lose your sanity if you're stuck with a group of people you have to fight with 24/7 and can't talk to them about anything? It's like solitary confinement. As for DADT, if anyone even happens to find out any hint of you not being heterosexual ( e.g: a facebook relationship status ) then you are fucked, and just because of a small thing that shouldn't even matter.
I'm Bisexual. Should I keep it to myself on an Internet forum?
Is that the military.
Is that the military.
What's wrong with letting other people in the military know that you're bisexual? What the fuck would it hurt?
Because I'm not referring to the policy 100% the way it is.
The problem with making it with a rule with no punishment is that people would break it for yucks. And with it being a rule at all, someone's going to get pissed and punish you for 'unrelated circumstances.'

I think it is retarded but should be a mental rule without discharge. [editline]22nd December 2010[/editline]
What's wrong with letting other people in the military know that you're bisexual? What the fuck would it hurt?
Well, depends if you are surrounded by anti-gay activists. If not who cares, but this happends all the time. People get beat up for stating their sexual preference and I'm opposed to it. It's unnessesary information and %5 bad stuff happens because of it
well fuck
I'm sure it's referring to family housing aka if you're a guy with a husband you might not have the ability to get off base housing paid for. Stuff like that has a lot of complications and it isn't necessarily going to be like that forever.
Is that the military.
What's wrong with letting other people know about your sexuality in the military? Does it damage their aim?
Is that the military.
Think about it dude, do you want homophobes (the only people who will have issues with this) in the military, an organisation that represents your entire nation, in a foreign country. Really, think very carefully about this, cause every soldier sent over seas, is a diplomat of your nation.
Yeaaahhhhhhdouble posts mother fucker!!! If only it was a triple post, I coulda had a post sandwich :sigh:
America is so far behind in gay rights compared to other countries, it's barely funny anymore.

But they do anyways and I know that people will be harmed because of it. I don't want you guys to think that I am a homophobe if that is what you do think. Also, doublepost forgiven...
America is so far behind in gay rights compared to other countries, it's barley funny anymore.
I don't get why everyone's so hopped up against the gays anyway.
If someone beats you up for your sexual preference, get their ass discharged because they obviously don't have the fucking discipline required to be a good soldier.
I know this, but it does happen. If your really choose to think about it, its hurtful both ways.
I know this, but it does happen.
So do dishonorable discharges.
I don't get why everyone's so hopped up against the gays anyway.
I choked on my cheerios there you bastard.
I choked on my cheerios there you bastard.
Mission accomplished.
So do dishonorable discharges.
They both happen, congratulations you proved your point.
I know this, but it does happen. If your really choose to think about it, its hurtful both ways.
You know what a simple solution is? During training absolutely destroy every soldier, and when they absolutely detest their officers for what they are going through, give them their squad, no matter what sexual preference, skin colour or religion they are, the only thing they will have holding them up will be their squad mates.

[editline]22nd December 2010[/editline] Fucking human race. I hate them all.
I remember something like this, but I think that would cause suicides during weapons training.
Full Metal Jacket was a pretty good movie, yeah.
Full Metal Jacket was a pretty good movie, yeah.
Yeah, but that was a murder suicide. But thats even worse.
