I want to see some Leopard 2s overrun some North Korean Soldiers
I laughed when I scrolled down and saw the list of bets.
:10bux: that something will happen this year at least.
on SK starting it first within a month.
I bet a flaccid :flaccid: that this all out war will happen 12/01/2010
North Korea should just fuck off, we already have Iraq to deal with, we don't need this shit.
:10bux: within the next 2 weeks, although I happen it doesn't happen at all. :(
:20bux::10bux: it will happen within 3 weeks.
They will attack each other, I doubt it will turn into all out war though, both sides have too much to lose.
I bet That something happens within two weeks
The bets are over everyone.
North Korea should just fuck off, we already have Iraq to deal with, we don't need this shit.
North Korea, being a nuclear-armed state, is a legitimate target for nuclear attack by the US, by all the treaties and policy statements I've read. And we should, in fact, nuke the place flat. The citizens have been brainwashed for three generations. Kim Il-Sung took "Nineteen Eighty-Four" and thought it was a great idea. This is a country where the principle of "if everyone can't have it, nobody can have it" is taught to children (along with worship of the Glorious Leader). They have been taught for decades that foreigners are barbaric monsters. It is quite possible that the entire country is unable to reintegrate with modern society and culture. I was reading a list of things the media didn't report on because of Michael Jackson's death taking up all the coverage, and do you know what I found? North Korea threatening to launch an armed missile at Hawaii. They apparently do this all the time. Call me callous, call me a psychopath, call me a complete monster if you will, but it may be that the best thing we can do for North Korea is to annihilate it. If Kim Jong-Il wants to play in the big leagues, let him. He wants people to take him seriously? Do it. Respond to his invective the same way we would respond to Russia, or China, or Britain, saying the same things. If he wants to play in the deep end of the pool, it isn't our fault if he drowns. Go ahead, Kim-si. Bring it on. We'll flatten your farce of a nation before breakfast.
Well you know, the problem stands. There's millions of people there hoping for a better future they might never get if the country goes on like that. They are told to work harder every day to lead best Korea into glorious future. I am pretty sure they are well aware that their leader is a fucking idiot. After all, there is education in NK. What does matter isn't what you are taught (well, to a certain degree) but that you are taught something. Educated people start to think for themselves, and i'm pretty sure they do. Of course we have no way of knowing but i'm pretty sure. I see many parallels to the downfall of the GDR here - i do have to admit though it was a lot less drastic and people weren't actually poor in that sense but yeah.
Bets closed! 50 image limit reached. [editline]07:10PM[/editline] Good luck to all participants!
Instead of putting the same image 5 times you can do 5x20$. Also I'd like to raise my bet to one million dollars!
50 image limit reached.
you can go over the 50 image limit using img_thumb tags, the forum doesnt count them in the limit my bet is :10bux: within 2 weeks

They don't learn how electricity works, or anything resembling actual history. If they were educated, you would have a point. They aren't, though, and therein lies the problem. NK is twenty-four million people who think that Kim Il-Sung was god, that everybody who isn't Korean are monsters, and that North Korea is the only civilization in existence. China only props the regime up as a barrier between them and the SK/US forces. Once they realize that they would have better relations with said countries if they stopped supporting an insane dictatorship, the whole country will come crumbling down. Maybe that's what we should do. Get China to halt all trade with NK, and the country literally won't be able to feed itself. People who never knew freedom won't fight for it, but everyone will fight for basic survival.
:20bux: nothing will happen, it's like the Cuban Missle crisis
Except the enemy is far from competent or sane.
Hey North Korea I don't think you get the fact that it's you against the entire fucking world.
Within the next two weeks. :10bux:
:burger: that it happens on monday or next week after failed peace talks.
:20bux::20bux::20bux::20bux::20bux: Nothing will happen, at least not in the next 3 months. Certain of no back-up from China (they weren't going to get it anyway), they have absolutely 0% chance of doing anything. The entire world is against them. Not even their previous ally is willing to help them.
:10bux: My lucky ten dollars on next Monday.
Except the enemy is far from competent or sane.
And that the enemy is hopelessly outclassed. Cuba, both Russia and America were capable of destroying the planet. Now? North Korea has missiles that could reach Japan, maybe Hawaii, and enough warheads to wipe out Rhode Island (replace with Isle of Man if British). And I'm not sure they work consistently.
I wonder if North Korea even has deployable nukes at this point. Of course, we shouldn't just assume they don't.
22 cents and a coca cola cap that with China out of the way the war will happen by June 8th.
I bet four :qfg: that the attack will happen within the next 2 weeks.
Go ahead, Kim-si. Bring it on. We'll flatten your farce of a nation before breakfast.
Yeah, no. I'd rather not be on the receiving end of the inevitable counter battery of nukes when NK is attacked thanks. I'd rather risk a head on fight for 10 years and crush their inferior military than play around with nuclear warheads.
I wonder if North Korea even has deployable nukes at this point. Of course, we shouldn't just assume they don't.
They've tested two nukes, and launched missiles with a range of 2500 km. They haven't tested a combination yet, but I would assume they could. Still, the only countries they can target of value are Japan, South Korea, China, maybe Taiwan. The only one of those that is a military threat to them is South Korea, and they're as ready for war as possible.
50 yen that nothing will happen.
50 yen that nothing will happen.
70 Mexican Pesos something will.
