also something will totally happen to Sessions over this so go buy a reaper
How are you so sure that something is going to happen.
How are you so sure that something is going to happen.
the man lied, provably, under oath on a televised hearing
How are you so sure that something is going to happen.
He committed perjury. There is no argument here.
That's just what he did. That's a fact now. Like the sky is blue, Jeff Sessions committed Perjury is a fact. That's a crime he can easily be charged for.
How are you so sure nothing will?
How are you so sure that something is going to happen.
A leading democrat in the Congress just said that what he's seeing here might be perjury.
And they haven't even heard his defense of it yet - that's how indefensible it is. It's so out in the open, plain as day, that even the public can see that he's perjured himself here.
The question is not really 'will something happen' at this point. It's more 'can he find a way to wiggle out from under this oncoming charge'.
Tbh just because a Democrat said it doesn’t make it 100% true. If anything it just muddies the waters. What would be significant is a republican going against the party to discuss the investigation

I’m not saying all dems are liars, I’m just saying that it’s unsurprising to see a Dem be angry about a Rep
Perjury is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, and Sessions unequivocally committed it. He lied, under oath, multiple times, about his depth of knowledge relating to Russian communications. I don't believe Mueller is going to close the trap on him just yet (Sessions is one of the biggest targets in his investigation, and Mueller undoubtedly wants him on more than just perjury), but Sessions is fucked. Even if nothing else turns up, which seems increasingly unlikely by the day, Sessions is almost certainly going to be facing felony charges.
What I'm not sure of is if perjury charges can stack. If he told the same lie under oath several different times, including in different sessions/interviews, can he be charged with multiple counts of perjury? That one I don't know.

It does make it 100% true that said Democrat is going to try and bring Perjury charges against him though - which necessarily means 'something is going to happen'.
Frankly, I want Donald Trump's ass on the stand, testifying under oath. Nearly every word out of that fucker's mouth is a lie. He lies about pointless shit. He lies about things that you can prove false with twenty seconds and a search engine. He lies about things that he, himself, has said on live national television. Like, I guarantee you that if you put him on a stand and have him testify under oath (about anything!), he will perjure himself. He just won't be able to help it.

He'll perjure himself and tell Congress they've perjured themselves.

Can you hold someone's testimony against them if they're mentally ill?
Can you hold someone's testimony against them if they're mentally ill?
If there is any question (and there is), in order to prove that he is mentally fit to stand trial, he will need to submit to a competent evaluation. As in he'll basically be compelled to. And if he is found to be mentally unfit to stand trial, that information (although not necessarily the specifics, as his medical information is still a private matter no matter what he's done as a person or a President) will be made public.
And I'm pretty damn sure a man unfit to be tried for a crime is unfit to be POTUS.
And we'd definitely get something other than "Candidate Trump is the healthiest man I've ever seen".

"I am the biggest perjurer, ever - so great!"

Can't he just pardon that though?
Can't he just pardon that though?
A pardon is an admission of guilt, which would lead to further proceedings.
besides, yknow, the bit where the president pardoned himself of (potentially) conspiracy against the united states and of (absolutely) some ploy to get the office. there would almost certainly be riots.

Yes I mean after its proven obviously
Yes I mean after its proven obviously
Whether or not he pardoned himself, he'd be impeached. If he pardoned himself, he'd be hunted down by vigilantes who'd want his flabby orange head as a trophy after he was kicked out. So he'd be making a mistake regardless. Where rule of law breaks down, people WILL have their pound of flesh.
The system doesn't deserve much faith until they fix the entire reason dorito man and his cronies got into power in the first place. Fix education and rebuild the election system and then we'll talk about faith.
remove super pacs, cap campaign spending, and enact time limits, our years long presidential election wasted so much money and let the russians have time to deploy their assets.
