Didn't use a camera worth much. Shitty population sample. gb2highschool kid
I'm pretty sure no one stole it because it was on top of a mountain, And I'm sure punk teenagers don't go hiking.
When the film ran out
The fuck? Is this camera from the 70s or something
The fuck? Is this camera from the 70s or something
It's an old throwaway-type camera.
He forget's one thing. Why would someone steal a disposable camera?
Exactly, noone is going to steal some cheap 2$ walgreens camera.
Um, just because the camera uses film doesn't mean it was a shitty disposable one. Ever heard of taking the film out and popping some more in? Those types of camera's can be worth up to £300.

I would of kicked it off the mountain.
Oh wow, as if I missed that. Ah well, the first Bad Reading ratings I've ever gotten.
The returners name is Ogwen Valley warden Brian Jones? It's not a big surprise it wasn't stolen, you don't exactly meet everyday smug bastards that would just take it ON A MOUNTAIN.
Rated agree. The humanity I don't have faith in isn't the kind you'll find taking family vacations trips with friends to a scenic mountain. Further more, that note makes the camera feel like a trap. Sort of like how if someone leaves a purse on the ground with some money inside it, it'll get snatched up extremely quickly. You leave it there with a chalk circle around it, people will be too suspicious to get anywhere near it. I'm not someone who believe humans are naturally evil and am suspicious of everyone, I just think this experiment didn't prove anything.

I want to try this at my school.
I want to try this at my school.
People who go to school =/= People who climb mountains

He should try doing that in East or South Central Los Angeles and see what would happen. :v:
I still think it's a neat experiment, regardless of the value of the camera. I've had a $1 water bottle stolen off my bag twice. I mean even if it doesn't prove people can be trusted, it's kinda cool to see the other people that came to the mountain.
Someone should do something of the likes with an item of more value.
I would have taken a picture of my cock, and left it there.
It's because the camera is on a Mountain Top, where only people who Hike will be present, IE, It takes effort to get there. If a thief is going to put effort into it, he'd have a job
I might try this with one of those older $20 cameras that you have to use film with, I have about 5 extra ones. Nice experiment, though.
He should try doing that in East or South Central Los Angeles and see what would happen. :v:
Camera would get shot.
Proof that when separated from civilization, humans stop being douchebags.
Do this same experiment with a 200 dollar digital camera, see what happens.
It proves that if you leave a camera on a mountain, and put instructions for people to take a picture then leave it for the next, then they will.
Good to know that if I leave a sticky note telling passing people to do a simple quick task, that eventually someone will read and do it. My faith in humanity is restored.

That's like stealing someone's gym socks.
People who go to school =/= People who climb mountains
He means he wants to test it in a different enviroment you idiot.
This story SO reminds me of something Derren Brown did: One of my favorite things ever
I'm drawing a fucking yellow circle around my house. [editline]09:02PM[/editline] Anyways, I've had so much stuff stolen off me I doubt this experiment is plausible. I mean, people stole the goddamn cap on my water-bottle. Who even does that?
One of the pics, I wouldn't mess with this guy
