Military options are 'inevitable if North Korea continues'

People will piss about the US wasting resources if it does go to war and the US not doing enough to save innocent lives if it doesn't.
War with North Korea is happening one way or another. I wish I could say other nations could be relied to take some of the slack but the fact that it's the US that everyone demands jump in to put a stop to this speaks volumes about where the bulk of the burden will lie.
Who would've thought splitting a nation and fucking with them by increasing military presence in the region over decades would cause them to be agressive.

Actually I would be much more in support of the United Nations jointly going in and doing something about it rather than the US and South Korea.
I'll only be pissed about the US if they let the post-war situation go massively out of control and don't rebuild the new Korea. Considering the past twenty years, I think I'm very justified in thinking that this is what is exactly going to happen.

You do know why the two Koreas are split and have been for a very long time right? Certainly the US was not clean in the situation and South Korea was a dictatorship for a long time but an united Korea was impossible at that time and attempting to make one would very much have caused the third World War.
I think that... we should read over the history of Korea after the Second World War, because I think a lot of people would be realising how bloody awful the entire situation is and would be saying substantionally less silly things.
My 2 cents:
A China/US joint operation (not exclusively militarily) on NK would work out. I'd say even China would agree to cooperate if the US said they'd be doing this not for western dominance over eastern soil but to keep the NK threat at the "deterrence" level (or lower, if we think positively for a sec). After things calm down, NK would be dealt with on the table and not in a war zone. A new government? Same regime with a different leader and (more peaceful) ideals? An autonomous area ie Hong Kong? That's where my imagination ends.

China won't help the US since NK is their dog,it's basically chinese territory, they support NK regime with weapons, rockets and food, they deport NK dissidents from China and support North Korea in media so NK regime has even less independence than Belarus.

Chinese support has been drastically declining in the past 10 years and they are not going to go to war with the US over them.
Chinas needs the US as an solid trade partner much more then they need NK.
The massive crisis over another war there would make Iraq and Syria fucking play time in comparison.
Meanwhile, China would take it as a blatant act of aggression since, like the Russians, the last thing the Chinese want is a united and western-aligned Korea on their border.
They've stated that will support that if it is a peaceful reunion, but America starting a war won't go over well.

Hey, it's presidentially endorsed.

"Norks" isn't a made up slur as far as I can tell? It appears to be a very much real one. I would suggest people do not use it.
I love how people think this is a great idea.
Have you guys seen eastern Germany recently? The place is STILL a massive shithole and that was the paper boy of the eastern bloc. North Korea was left behind decades ago and is in the worst possible state a country can be in with people who are brain washed to fuck.
Who would take in these millions and millions of refugees? You don't have a Turkey or Lebanon to dump the vast majority of them in and Japan, China, SK, Russia and USA are all countries who deeply despise refugees.
What happens to the world economy when Seoul is almost certainly completely obilterated? When 100,000s are killed in days?
Who the FUCK is going to want to rebuild a war torn broken country, when East Germany is still such a massive drain, which was united in peace and had way more going for it?
There are SO many issues here. It would be a complete shit show and plunge the world into chaos.

I just like Nork because it's N Ork, which North Korea kinda acts like.

And a nuclear attack would do less?

Kim isn't some 007 villain. What does gain from nuking a country? Fuck all. He knows he dies if nukes anyone.
He's been threatening the world for years, nothing will ever come of it.
I mean, Hitler and Stalin had chemical weapons and never used them in battle or drenched enemy cities in gas because they knew what would happen if they did. If two of the most evil and twisted dictators in history didn't want to use gas in battle, Kim sure as shit won't nuke anyone. It's a deterrent, nothing more.

But guess who almost did? Japan. They had plans well underway to biologically attack California in WW2 and it only didn't go through because the war ended. They were surrounded by enemies, had a deity leader, and were starving. Sounds pretty familiar.
with people who are brain washed to fuck
Actually they aren't.Listen to some interviews with NK defectors, they said most people just have to express false happiness because they fear to be exectued. Many people watching SK films secretly or you really believe that you can have tears of happiness when you see Kim's new rocket?NK government has tens of concentration camps and people there certainly aren't happy with Kim.
It would be nice if a definitive decision was made. All this waffling is pointless. We're not too worried down here, but we are definitely prepared for anything.

Seeing as "Nork" refers to a state (North Korea) and not an ethnicity, it's not really a slur. That's like saying "Nazi" is a slur.
