They actually weren't
How could they be pro-Nazi? Weren't the Soviets extremely anti-Nazi? They would've cracked down on any supporters.
what is absolutely aggravating is that all these countries invited these people to work and support their now powerful economy back when it was shite and now people are saying "oh well if you're a european you're not a muslim so uhh we are gonna take stuff away from you" [editline]12:59PM[/editline]
Oh, just shitting our whole continent. Leave Europe European.
you wouldn't know the first bloody thing about it
It's also worth noting that you are not required to identify yourself to a cop if you're simply walking down the street.
http://aspiro.wimp.com/showingpolice/
Somehow I doubt that's the reason for the neo-nazi problem in former east germany. It probably has more to do with the hardships they face. Not to mention the DDR was big on slamming hitler and the nazis. It was also part of their media attacks on west germany, accusing them of being fascists.
I have no problem with veils as long as they do not completely cover the face making the person unrecognizable. Any other kind of clothing with the same effect should be banned from public places too, it's not just veils.
I have family who live in the Middle East and they must wear the veils, and they dislike them very much. It's not so much a religious thing, as it is more of a sexist thing. Also, I would assume they ban them due to the fact you cannot identify who is wearing one.
Wearing the veil is not a religious thing, anyone who thinks that it is is a misinformed idiot. So why do women have to wear them in the EU? [editline]09:07PM[/editline] Respect the values of the country you are in, try and speak their language, dress to their customs, EU women have to wear the veil when they are in the Middle East, so why don't Middle East women remove their veils in the EU and be polite about it?
So why do women have to wear them in the EU?
That I'm not sure of. Culture I guess. In Morocco I saw women completely covered, and they didn't really seem to mind. I guess now women get used to it, and accept it as "culture".
I kind of agree also. It'd be very easy for a criminal, for example, to disguise himself as a Muslim woman and blend in. It would also be very easy for a Muslim woman to rob with, as she could conceal her identity to blend in.
And is this something that actually happens regularly? Has it ever happened at all? I've never heard of it happening, and if it did it'd be all over the news. You don't want to ban it because of the imaginary robbery risk. That's just a dumb scenario you've created to try and justify your irrational feelings.
I saw a Muslim woman steal tinned beans from a pound shop by hiding it under her veil thing.
I saw a Muslim woman steal tinned beans from a pound shop by hiding it under her veil thing.
You could do the same thing by putting them in your pocket ban pockets
You could do the same thing by putting them in your pocket ban pockets
"Is that a tin-can in your pocket or are you just happy to see me"
http://aspiro.wimp.com/showingpolice/
Asshole cops demanding ID doesn't mean you have to show it to them. Just because he's a figure of authority doesn't mean he has the authority to violate your rights.
Uhm, wasn't that a tad bit harsh?
If I thought it was I wouldn't have done it.
but they're not all forced to. I don't understand how people don't get that it's possible for a woman to be a devout Muslim and choose to wear a burqa of her own free will. In western countries, if they're being forced to wear one, they have a legal recourse against their husbands. Some might be intimidated into wearing them and be afraid of leaving their husband, sure, but to act like that's always the case, or even the case most of the time, is dumb. You wanna talk about oppressing women, talk about the government saying "you're not allowed to wear burqas, it's for your own good. Trust us, we know better than you"
But i never said i thought that, i said i think other people might think that
Hasn't the law got better things to do with their time than stop people pirating?

I saw a Muslim woman steal tinned beans from a pound shop by hiding it under her veil thing.
lol
I think it's dumb that any clothes should be banned really
I think we should ban Ed Hardy
No don't do it
Easy there, fuzzy little manpeach, I didn't say anything, I just remembered the video and posted it because it seemed relevant to what you were saying
I know, I was tl;dw-ing the video for people.
oh mkay then good watch though huh
I don't want their islamic shit there. Sure, they can believe whatever they want, but I don't want their churches, I don't want to see whatever they are wearing. Look, normal woman in europe want to be sucessful, works on carrer and then decides that it's time for kids in around 35. If she sucesses, if at all, she borns around 3 kids. But islamic woman has different main goal, to have as many kids as she can. So, they would kinda overtake. I already hate anything religious related, but atleast christians aren't yelling gibberish of that towers. I welcome anyone that is black, asian or mexican whatever to my country. But, I just can't stand islamic religion.

I seriously never get why people get so upset about what people wear, or if they're building stuff. What is the big deal? If we're building churches, why can't they build their mosques? If you want to wear Uggs (which actually should be a crime), why can't they wear a veil? Of course, the problem is that most people don't wear it because they actually want to, but because they either believe they should, or because they're somewhat forced by their family. I do believe something should be done a bout that, but wearing it from your OWN religious beliefs should be perfectly fine, no need to ban it. It also scares me that the PVV got so many votes here, as I don't want to believe so many people can be that intolerant.

Just since it is part of another culture/religion shouldn't make it acceptable. 6 year old girl and 30 year old man getting married might be ok in some cultures/religions, but should it be ok here too? Intolerance my ass.
here's a fun fact the qu'ran never says that women have to wear a burqa rather, it advises that you dress moderately somehow that got twisted into wearing a veil over your face
Because you can't see who is under the mask.
so you want to ban masks? Isn't that kind of ridiculous?
so you want to ban masks? Isn't that kind of ridiculous?
oh yes i do want to ban the possession of all and any kind, especially the dangerous Halloween masks thanks for understanding my point
