Didn't read the whole thread, so I dunno if this was said before, but it will also disrubt the magnetic shielding of our planet, weakening it even more than what already is happenning (the increase of cancer rates is being correlated with that) Anyway, the magnetic field will be raped around the southern side of the atlantic ocean, I think. So it won't hit any major town or city, but it will make a hole in the magnetic coat of our planet around there, causing dangeroud sun rays to infiltrate through it and wreak havoc on fishes (again, all this simply means an augmentation of cancer rates through a long timeline). But yeah, basically, this is interesting from an electromagnetic point of view. Medias are just surfing the hype because of all the 2012 paranoia.

EMP will destroy any kind of circuitry as long as it's hooked to a power source. just because something is turned off doesn't mean there isn't a charge flowing through it unless you unplug it or remove its batteries.

The world won't just end, and this probably won't DIRECTLY cause the deaths of millions, but a total economic collapse scenario that i mentioned earlier totally would not be fun. It could lead to hundreds of millions of deaths across the globe, but it could also give a rise to a better, saner, enlightened and more prepared global society. Never know.
