Its not free but at least its cheap and if i remember correctly this is the first time MS is doing it, besides the Summer of Arcade or whatever.

Anyway, I just don't understand what microsoft doing a summer sale has to do with them swapping out the xbox live gold game this month, unless he's trying to justify their actions, which would be hilarious but not unexpected of him.

They said games like those would be available in the coming months. Everybody just assumed that those two games were going to be released in July.

While no actual date was given they implied that Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 were going to be free to kick off the new program of free games.
