Just because you find something awkward doesn't mean something should be banned. I know a lot of people who find interracial kisses and gay marriage awkward; I don't think that means we should ban the depiction of them. It would set an absurd precedent if things could be censored because some people felt awkward, it would allow you to censor almost anything.
That was just my opinion, I said I wanted to lose them because of that, not that they should. I'm thinking hypothetically, read: ideal world. Obviously there are a number of other reasons to ban them, my primary point though was that they're not sexist necessarily considering the women in them do so voluntarily.
Never could understand why people protest over a magazine that hardly anybody ever reads and taken seriously... I've seen many magazines that are of similar nature that's always next to the checkout about celab stuff, and I don't get why few people takes this hardcore and shit... I and some people, don't care about the lives of celeb and rather worry about their own.
wow that's one tesco value demonstration
I feel like checking out tesco now. Sounds like great deals are in there. The irony in this article is strong.
wow that's one tesco value demonstration
You mean a Tesco Everyday Value™ demonstration :v:
How about also getting rid of women's magazines for causing female body image problems (among other things)?
Displaying naked and near-naked images on magazine covers fuels attitudes underpinning violence against women
"these women are attractive and i'm paying to see them and now i'm going to beat women"
I would prefer it if they tried more to get rid of the womens magazines full of zoom lense shots of unconsenting celebrities on the beach than consenting women who are being paid.
I have a pair of friends that work at Tesco, and I've not heard from them for a few days. I'm starting to imagine them getting mobbed as they desperately attempt to save these magazines from thousands of angry protesters.
