The CBC or BBC are probably more liberal than any station in the states. They do try to be unbiased though.
I haven't seen either one of those being "liberal" before, I've seen them both reporting on the news without spin though. Is this what passes as liberal these days? If so, the conservative victimization complex has really taken a toll on rational discourse.
This isn't news. However, all news stations lean to the left EXCEPT for fox news. So it's needed.
Is the American definition of left wing "Not right wing and socially conservative." or something? I think their two party system has destroyed all concept of being centralist, it's causing a really shitty "with us or against us" attitude.
lol no they're not I love how americans call certain people/organizations leftists/liberals when if they were in any other country they'd be considered conservatives and once again, fox apologists come in here and try to compare CNN and MSNBC to Fox, saying "they're just as bad!!" it's simply not true. CNN and MSNBC have INTEGRITY.
CNN Reports on twitter posts and shitty youtube videos trying to appeal to a younger audience but is fucking failing hard at that I never watched MSNBC enough so i can't have a opinion basically i hate all news channels in the US. It's either Conservative bullshit or pure irrelevancy. Current TV is going to have keith obermann on their channel. dunno how that will turn out.
This isn't news. However, all news stations lean to the left EXCEPT for fox news. So it's needed.
I disagree. Some people still do not know how biased Fox News actually is. It's not just right leaning, but Fox "News" has leaned so far it has actually fallen and cannot get up. And, yeah, I think some balance is always good. But Fox doesn't offer any balance. It offers incredibly skewed and often completely wrong stories in order to push the republican agenda. Like I said, that's not leaning. [editline]1st July 2011[/editline] Also, this is a bit biased source, but if you were looking for "proof" Thief, then I think this can be the start. The problem is the lies, the lack of fact checking, and the direct financial ties to the GOP, the Tea Party, and other conservative groups.
This isn't news. However, all news stations lean to the left EXCEPT for fox news. So it's needed.
Fox New doesn't lean to the right, it is the right.
I can't really believe this. Not saying that Fox News isn't bullshit, but this just seems very... conspiracy theory like.
It doesn't matter how insane it is. As long as it's bad and about Fox News, FP will be 100% behind it.
CNN Reports on twitter posts and shitty youtube videos
alert the fucking police
With this news, I actually want to see Anonymous fuck over Fox on the internet while the "comedian news reporters" do a better job of being fair and balanced.
CNN is pretty damn left. Which at the end of the day makes it just as bad as fox news. Because ANY bias at all makes objective journalism impossible. [editline]1st July 2011[/editline] If you have a political agenda you shouldn't be reporting the news.
CNN only seems left if you're as right as Fox News.
CNN only seems left if you're as right as Fox News.
If you put fox news to the far right and msnbc to the far left. CNN is not going to be exactly in the middle. Sorry Maybe I'm more radical on my thought of this, but I think any news network that has even the slightest of bias is doing something wrong.

So, let me get this straight. It's no secret the media is heavily liberal-aligned (at least, anyone with some major weight). To combat this, a deliberately right-aligned network was founded. How is that any different than what already existed? They're both propaganda, just in different ways, so I don't see why anyone would beat on Fox News any more than the other channels.

No matter what bias exists, they at least have the story and facts correct, or mostly correct.

And yes I preemptively forgive you for trolling but I do find that mentality hilarious when it's expressed by others genuinely, and using those same words, like "combat." "We're not biased, we're just...okay, we're biased, but so is everyone! So it's okay, because we're a counterweight, bravely fighting the evil bias of those islamo-fascist communazi democranks." Meanwhile, there really isn't a bias so much as the general ineptitude, hamfisted pandering and similar wonky behavior of all news media, but Fox can only survive being this overtly a GOP mouthpiece if it declares itself the better of two mouthpieces, and so they look for and strawman up as many "opponents" as they can find to righteously smite. Even though they always target something completely nonsensical, like comedians or every major media outlet that isn't them.
Have you read none of the posts in this thread?
He's a troll. Keeps up a good face, leads into obvious talking points. Glaber's the one you have to be condescending to. @ the below:
CNN is just as left biased as fox is right.
When was the last time you saw a Center for American Progress spokesperson on CNN talking about how certain demographics weren't paying their "fair share" of taxes while jabbing at current corporate tax rates? Because we've all seen Cato men on Fox pull that maneuver, yet I've never witnessed the liberal equivalent.
CNN is just as left biased as fox is right. They both suck really, fox just makes a fool of themselves more often.

Bias is a problem. The viewer should be coming up with his own conclusions based on the objective knowledge he is receiving. Saying media bias isn't a problem is silly.
CNN is just as left biased as fox is right. They both suck really, fox just makes a fool of themselves more often.
Where are you getting this from? I wouldn't say CNN is left at all, they're somewhere around the middle, FOX are so right wing it's like someone bisected a bird.

The only unbiased News source I know of is The Onion.
no he's saying that all news sources are just as bad, CNN is obviously blatant leftism bias too. Fox News usually just gets the heat because they do retarded shit more often.
"They're just as bad as each other. Fox just does retarded shit more often." In other words... "They're all equally bad. Fox is just worse than the others. But they're still just as bad as each other." Sense, it makes none. And if you seriously think MSNBC and CNN are equally or more left biased than Fox is right biased... Huckabee. No further points needed. Fox is much more right biased than the others are left biased. To deny it is just fucking silly.
I think the only democrat guy they have on there is Alan Colmes.
Colmes left, if I recall.
I haven't seen either one of those being "liberal" before, I've seen them both reporting on the news without spin though. Is this what passes as liberal these days? If so, the conservative victimization complex has really taken a toll on rational discourse.
Pretty much, yeah. "You're not teaching creatio- err, intelligent design- in schools as much as evolution and pure science! That's liberal biased!" "Sure, Fox is right biased... but that must mean that everyone else is left biased, too! Or else we wouldn't have news station bias equilibrium, which is one of the natural laws of the universe. Beck told me so." "We can't have the 10 commandments in front of courts, we can't have "Under God" or "In God We Trust", and we can't promote Christianity over other religions? That's biased against Christians!"
no he's saying that all news sources are just as bad, CNN is obviously blatant leftism bias too. Fox News usually just gets the heat because they do retarded shit more often.
I am really tired of this us vs them mentality. If you're a republican and you support fox news, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Right, and they just 'happened' to 'find' it.
Right, and they just 'happened' to 'find' it.
Even if it were all just made up, would you be surprised if it were true? That's the point I'm seeing here. Nobody would be surprised, because everyone expects Fox News to be the propaganda network that it is. FN is a problem that needs to be fixed.
FN is a problem that needs to be fixed.
Or ignored. Actually, that would be the best solution in this case. Just ignore them, and they'll lose ratings.
To be fair, even Fox News can (VERY rarely) make a legit point about something.
To be fair, even Fox News can (VERY rarely) make a legit point about something.
Yeah, but those points are usually buried in so much BS that it dosn't matter. It's just too hard to take them seriously.

You're saying that fox is just as bad as stations that don't lie. So, you're not a fox apologist?
CNN is just as left biased as fox is right. They both suck really, fox just makes a fool of themselves more often.
But does CNN lie and contribute financially to the organizations it shows bias to No This is why Fox is terrible
