They just discovered this, it doesn't make them more dangerous to people. People are way more dangerous to sharks than vice versa. (Not talking swimmer vs. shark of course) It was like this all the time, they just found it out now. There are no invisible, cloaked giant spy sharks roaming the beaches, unless you swim on the ground of the deep sea you won't have a problem. And even if, sharks probably were the least of your problems.
Deep sea Sharks using photophores for camouflage? Sure, why not. Interesting anyhow.
