Don't pretty much all animals happen to eat quite a few random other species as well, not on their usual range of meals? I mean, especially in the the sea? The only thing I've seen in documented footage are things so hungry they will eat you down to the last nutritive fragment. (A whale corpse on the seafloor is party time.) So, surely giant squids might also eat crabs, or manta rays or something? I like to think they do, since even deer have been witnessed eating birds. Or grown male ducks cannibalizing on smaller ducklings in a public park. Anything goes these days I tell you..
Wouldn't be surprised. Squid eat crustaceans so it would seem likely that giants do too. It could probably eat whatever it could fit in its beak. Something to consider is their brain is donut shaped and wraps around their esophagus, so eating anything too big and sharp could cause problems. I don't know of eating-induced brain damage has ever been documented, though. [editline]29th December 2015[/editline] However, humboldt squids have been known to be aggressive and defensive, and Mexican fishermen tell stories of them devouring overboard sailors in seconds. They call them the "Diablo Rojo" or Red Devil.
Don't giant squad/colossal squid supposedly attack whales on occasion?
Don't giant squad/colossal squid supposedly attack whales on occasion?
From what I learned, Sperm whales are covered in scars they received from colossal squids that fought back
Don't giant squad/colossal squid supposedly attack whales on occasion?
They're attacked by sperm whales because sperm whales eat them. They fight back often. Resulting in tell tale battle scars. A lot of the research done on giant squid had been from undigested remains inside the stomachs of washed up Sperm whales.
i find it rather terrifying that the giant squid just allowed the divers to get near it like it probably wouldnt take much from the squid to seriously injure the divers, and yet it's just floating there like "its cool dog"
I thought the only reason these things surface is when they are sick? so that one might be on its way out.
Well it might eat you... or rape you like Dolphins do.
Wait, those aren't tenticles, they're genticles!
See, when people say we fucked them up when we bombed them they conveniently forget The Dream Of The Fisherman's Wife. (that's the title by the way, google it) There's also one where this chick is flying away while she's fighting off a giant snake's sexual advances or some shit I don't really remember what was going on there. I'm not actually sure if there's some sort of deeper meaning to all of this, like they're some sort of visual haiku proto-hentai that's concealing some deep life lesson about how you shouldn't neglect your samurai swords or something, but I do know they're fucking hilarious on a superficial level. Also I recall one where there was some chick pouring a huge keg of booze or milk or whatever into this bowl this armored goblin man had, I assume that one is literally about getting completely fucking smashed but I might be mistaken. [editline]29th December 2015[/editline] Long story short is Japan's been weird for awhile and it's cool to look through other culture's artwork and try to figure out what the hell is happening. [editline]29th December 2015[/editline] I want to believe that there's some deep meaning to these, but I also equally want to believe that there's an implied meaning and really there was a secret cabal of Japanese guys who drew weird shit and laughed at all the retards trying to make sense of it.
The samurai had farting contests as well, there's art of that floating around somewhere.
It's a scout for Cthulhu
The samurai had farting contests as well, there's art of that floating around somewhere.
Well before anyone else had even thought of the quintessential fart joke Japanese warrior-poets were bravely pioneering this new field of body humor.
Giant sea creatures really creep me out. Imagine being underwater all by yourself, and you see this thing coming toward you.
Giant sea creatures really creep me out. Imagine being underwater all by yourself, and you see this thing coming toward you.
You probably wouldnt even see it, it would strike so fast youd basically be swimming around (If you could swim in the deep ocean) one moment, and the next youd be buried under a pissed-off avalanche of teeth and serrated suckers, torn apart, bones pulverized all in a span of a few seconds.
I'm surprised they haven't started making colossal squid hentai.
Oh they started already. They started a loooong time ago.
Well before anyone else had even thought of the quintessential fart joke Japanese warrior-poets were bravely pioneering this new field of body humor.
You say that but waaaay back in the Roman times The Doctor to Emperor Titus wrote this on the wall.
“Apollinaris, medicus Titi Imperatoris hic cacavit bene.”
This roughly reads as “Apollinaris, doctor to the emperor Titus, had a good shit here.”
Well before anyone else had even thought of the quintessential fart joke Japanese warrior-poets were bravely pioneering this new field of body humor.
New field of humor? The oldest recorded joke is literally a fart joke. It's a Sumerian joke from 1900 BC
"Something which has never occurred since time immemorial; a young woman did not fart in her husband's lap."
Also, squids are cool but I find them icky
I thought Jack Sparrow took care of this thing in Pirates of the Caribbean 2?
Wasn't there some ancient Japanese art depicting a woman having sex with a squid? It's literally part of their history.
That was an octopus, not a squid. :eng101:
